WS-C4900M identifies the Cisco Catalyst 4900M eight-port base system. The 4900M portion is the model designation, while the complete chassis identifier does not select an expansion card, power supply or software image. Keep the full PID unchanged and specify those configuration items separately on the purchase order.
WS-C4900M supports console CLI, remote Telnet, SSH with an SSH-capable image, SNMP and CiscoWorks LMS web-based management tools. Its Ethernet management interface also provides out-of-band network access.
