C9300-24UXB-E is a higher-scale, deep-buffer Layer 3 enterprise access switch with 24 Multigigabit copper ports, Cisco UPOE endpoint power, and a modular uplink bay that ships without a network module. Downlinks support 100 Mbps, 1G, 2.5G, 5G, and 10G connections for wireless access points and other powered campus endpoints. The rack-mount 1U chassis belongs to the Catalyst 9300 series within the Catalyst 9000 family. Its empty uplink bay accepts C9300-NM-4G, C9300-NM-8X, C9300-NM-2Y, C9300-NM-2Q, or C9300-NM-4M, rather than providing fixed fiber uplinks. Network Essentials is the included perpetual license; C9300-24UXB-A changes that entitlement to Network Advantage without changing the copper port configuration. Cisco IOS XE provides the operating environment for this 24-port Multigigabit Cisco UPOE access switch.

C9300-24UXB-E identifies a Catalyst 9300 higher-scale switch with 24 copper 10G/Multigigabit Cisco UPOE ports, modular uplinks, and Network Essentials. C9300 identifies the series, 24 identifies port count, UXB identifies the higher-scale Multigigabit UPOE configuration, and E identifies Network Essentials. An uplink module is not included in the base configuration.
C9300-24UXB-E supports CLI and WebUI management, with Cisco Catalyst Center available through the relevant software subscription. The Network Essentials hardware order is not a Meraki-mode order. Specify the management approach and associated entitlements rather than assuming cloud management from the Catalyst 9300 series name.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for Catalyst 9300. Hardware lifecycle and software-release retirement are separate purchasing considerations. For an existing deployment, specify the intended software release and support requirements independently of hardware condition; retirement of an individual software release does not itself discontinue the switch hardware.
