256 Gbps switching capacity and 190.48 Mpps forwarding rate establish the standalone switching envelope. 822W of shared endpoint power is available with the default PWR-C1-1100WAC-P; the per-port power ceiling does not reserve that amount for every connection. OSPF, EIGRP, BGPv4 and IS-ISv4 support dynamically routed LANs, while OSPFv3 and BGPv6 extend routing to IPv6. C9300-48UB-A provides 8 GB of DRAM and 16 GB of flash for Cisco IOS XE operation and local software storage. Forwarding resources include 64000 MAC entries and 112000 total IPv4 routes, comprising 48000 direct and 64000 indirect entries. Embedded WebUI provides device-level configuration and troubleshooting on the Catalyst 9000 platform. C9300-48UB-A identifies a Catalyst 9300 higher-scale 48-port Gigabit copper UPOE switch with modular uplinks and Network Advantage. C9300 names the family, 48 is the access-port count, U indicates UPOE, B marks higher scale, and A denotes Network Advantage. Uplink speed depends on the separately selected network module.
C9300-48UB-A supports management through the Cisco IOS XE CLI, SSH, RJ-45 or USB mini-Type B console, and embedded WebUI. Cisco Catalyst Center adds centralized management with the appropriate subscription. WebUI is part of the default image, while subscription-based management entitlements are ordered separately from Network Advantage.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for Catalyst 9300. Software-release retirement notices do not establish hardware retirement for C9300-48UB-A. Cisco-remanufactured C9300-48UB-A-RF is a separate ordering condition, not a replacement model or ORM-certified refurbishment. A remanufactured part number does not change the identity of the underlying switch.

822W is the C9300-48UB-A PoE budget with one PWR-C1-1100WAC-P; two PWR-C1-1100WAC-P supplies permit 1800W. Cisco UPOE supports 60W per port, but the budget is shared. Size combined endpoint demand for normal operation and the supply-failure condition rather than assuming maximum output on all ports.
C9300-48UB-A accepts C9300-NM-4G for four 1G SFP ports, C9300-NM-8X for eight 10G SFP+ ports, C9300-NM-2Y for two 25G SFP28 ports, or C9300-NM-2Q for two 40G QSFP+ ports. C9300-NM-4M adds four Multigigabit interfaces. The base bay is empty; specify the module and compatible optics separately.
StackWise-480 connects eight C9300-48UB-A higher-scale members at 480 Gbps. Compatible partners include C9300-24UB-A and C9300-24UXB-A with matching licenses; standard Catalyst 9300 and Catalyst 9300X models cannot join this stack. Higher-scale hardware supports 112000 total IPv4 routes, split between 48000 direct and 64000 indirect entries. The Network Essentials OSPF limit of 1000 routes is not the entitlement supplied on this -A model.
C9300-48UB-A supports 60W UPOE per port, where C9300-48P-A supports 30W PoE+ per port. Both models allocate power from a shared budget rather than reserving the per-port maximum for every connection. Specify C9300-48UB-A for compatible higher-draw endpoints; C9300-48P-A suits endpoints that stay within the PoE+ power class.
C9300-48UB-A includes Network Advantage, while C9300-48UB-E includes Network Essentials. The -A entitlement enables advanced routing; the -E entitlement limits OSPF to 1000 routes and provides EIGRP Stub rather than full EIGRP.
