C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E combines eight Multigigabit copper ports reaching 10Gbps with 40 Gigabit Ethernet downlinks in a managed Layer 3 enterprise access switch. All access ports support Cisco UPOE, and four built-in 25G SFP28 uplinks provide a fixed fiber connection to distribution. The Catalyst 9300LM chassis occupies one rack unit and carries Network Essentials rather than the advanced routing tier. Campus and branch deployments can connect powered endpoints alongside higher-speed copper devices using the same mixed-speed access configuration. C9300LM-48UX-4Y-A changes the software entitlement to Network Advantage while retaining the same hardware configuration.
C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E price for new stock is $12,470.85. C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E refurb price is $10,485.83. C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E is in stock and available for next-day dispatch. (terms applied)

440 Gbps switching capacity gives this Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series configuration forwarding capacity across its access and uplink interfaces. 327.36 Mpps forwarding rate sets the standalone packet-processing ceiling; optional stacking increases switching capacity to 760 Gbps. 790W of shared PoE budget is available with the default PWR-C6-1KWAC, rising to 1790W with a second PWR-C6-1KWAC. OSPF supports up to 1000 routes under Network Essentials, alongside static routing, RIPv1, RIPv2, RIPng, EIGRP Stub, PBR, VRRP, and PIM Stub for up to 1000 multicast routes; BGP and IS-IS are excluded from this tier. C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E uses 8 GB DRAM and 16 GB flash for operating software and image storage. Cisco UADP 2.0 supports 32000 MAC entries and a 32000-entry IPv4 total comprising 24000 direct and 8000 indirect routes, distinct from the OSPF license limit. Three FAN-T2= fan modules provide chassis cooling, and the second internal power-supply bay is empty in the base configuration.
ORM Systems supplies C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E new sealed or certified refurbished, with new units carrying up to a 3-year extended warranty and certified refurbished units covered for up to 1 year; returns are available for 30 days on every condition, terms apply. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, every port linking at rated speed, clean boot, PoE output under load on every powered port, optics bay recognition, PSU status, and fan status; firmware is verified and configuration wiped to factory default. Specify the required condition and hardware quantities on the PO. Enterprise and volume orders support PO acceptance, Net-30 for government, and RMA with advance replacement, with regional stock and RMA in the UK, EU, US, and MEA.
| Key Specs | Key Spec Values |
|---|---|
Operating System | Cisco IOS XE |
License Tier | Network Essentials |
Port Configuration | 48 UPOE ports, eight Multigigabit, four 25G uplinks |
PoE Budget | 790W; 1790W with two PWR-C6-1KWAC supplies |
Stacking | StackWise-320, eight members |
Max Power Draw | 1008.3W at 115V AC, full PoE load. |
When an endpoint refresh introduces devices requesting 60W per connection, aggregate power demand rather than checking port count alone. Cisco UPOE power remains subject to the installed supplies and negotiated allocations. Specify each endpoint's requested power and the intended simultaneous load before selecting the power-supply configuration on the PO.
When expanding an existing access stack, distinguish fixed-uplink members from modular-uplink hardware before adding another chassis. Catalyst 9300LM cannot join a Catalyst 9300 or Catalyst 9300X modular-uplink stack. Inventory the installed members and specify a compatible fixed-uplink stack boundary before issuing the PO.
Before a branch rollout reuses installed copper cabling, separate link speed requirements from cable reach. Cat6 supports 10GBASE-T to 55m, while Cat6A supports 100m at 10Gbps. Include a cable-type and length audit in staging, then specify any cabling changes with the hardware PO.
BGP or IS-IS routed access
C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E excludes BGP and IS-IS under Network Essentials. C9300LM-48UX-4Y-A carries Network Advantage for those protocols while retaining the same copper-port mix and fixed uplinks.
100G uplinks to distribution
C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E provides four fixed 25G uplinks and has no network-module bay. Uplink cards cannot expand this chassis to 100G; that requirement exceeds its fixed uplink architecture.
Multigigabit across every access port
Only eight C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E downlinks support Multigigabit speeds; the remaining 40 stop at 1G. Requirements for higher-speed connections on every access port exceed this mixed-speed copper configuration.

C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E means Catalyst 9300 mini, 48 copper access ports with Cisco UPOE, eight 10G Multigigabit ports, 40 Gigabit ports, four 25G uplinks, and Network Essentials. C9300LM identifies the mini family, 48 the port count, UX the UPOE/Multigigabit configuration, 4Y the four 25G uplinks, and E the Network Essentials tier.
C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E is managed through the local web UI or Cisco IOS XE CLI using console access or SSH; Cisco Catalyst Center supplies centralized management with a matching subscription. The local interfaces remain usable without deploying Cisco Catalyst Center. Specify the intended management and licensing arrangement before adding centralized services to the order.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for Catalyst 9300LM. C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E remains in the active ordering range. Software release retirements and accessory lifecycle milestones are separate from a switch hardware end-of-sale announcement, so procurement and support planning should distinguish the chassis from its optional components.
ORM offers C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty for new units and up to 1 year for refurbished units. Every condition has 30-day returns, terms apply. Cisco's Enhanced Limited Lifetime hardware warranty covers the original owner, limited to five years after discontinuance announcement; ORM coverage is separate.
C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E includes perpetual Network Essentials and requires a subscription for new orders. Cisco DNA Essentials and Advantage and Cisco Catalyst Essentials and Advantage start at three years; Cisco Networking Subscription offers Cisco Switching Essentials and Cisco Switching Advantage with a 36-month minimum. Match the network tier and Smart Account; DNA/Catalyst add-on expiration leaves the perpetual network license available.
C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E supplies Cisco UPOE at up to 60W per access port within a shared 790W budget from its default PWR-C6-1KWAC. Adding another PWR-C6-1KWAC raises available PoE power to 1790W. The per-port ceiling does not mean every port can receive maximum power simultaneously; size the allocation against the endpoint inventory and simultaneous load.
C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E has four fixed 25G SFP28 uplinks that also support 10G and 1G operation. No removable network module adds uplink ports to this chassis. Specify compatible transceivers for the selected speed and fiber connection, then match the remote interface and required reach before completing the hardware order.
C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E uses StackWise-320, which stacks eight members at 320 Gbps with C9300L-STACK-KIT2. Compatible Catalyst 9300L/LM members must share the same network license tier. C9300L-STACK-KIT2 includes two adapters and STACK-T3A-50CM; order STACK-T3A-1M or STACK-T3A-3M for longer rack connections. Modular-uplink models are not compatible stack partners.
C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E supports Layer 3 routed access through Network Essentials, including static routing, RIPv1, RIPv2, RIPng, EIGRP Stub, OSPF up to 1000 routes, PBR, VRRP, and PIM Stub up to 1000 multicast routes. The 32000-entry IPv4 hardware total includes 24000 direct and 8000 indirect routes; BGP, IS-IS, and full EIGRP require Network Advantage rather than the included license.
C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E is a Rack-Mount 1U switch measuring 43 mm high, 444 mm wide, and 334 mm deep with its default power supply. The 5.45 kg unit is a full-width rack chassis rather than a desktop model. Allow additional space for front cabling, rear power connections, and airflow when checking cabinet clearance before the PO.
C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E ships with one PWR-C6-1KWAC and an empty second internal power-supply bay, so redundant power is optional rather than standard. A second PWR-C6-1KWAC can be specified at purchase or added later. Catalyst 9300LM uses its own PWR-C6 supplies; PWR-C1 supplies from other Catalyst 9300 variants cannot be installed in this chassis.
C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E supplies Cisco UPOE, while C9300LM-48T-4Y-E has data-only access ports and no PoE output. A data-only switch cannot power connected endpoints over its access cabling. Specify C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E for switch-powered devices; C9300LM-48T-4Y-E suits connections whose endpoints receive power independently.
C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E includes Network Essentials, while C9300LM-48UX-4Y-A includes Network Advantage on the same hardware. Network Essentials permits OSPF up to 1000 routes and EIGRP Stub; Network Advantage adds BGP, IS-IS, and full EIGRP. C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E fits limited routed access; C9300LM-48UX-4Y-A suits designs requiring the advanced routing tier.
C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E supplies 48 copper access ports against 24 on C9300LM-24U-4Y-E. That difference changes how many physical endpoint connections a single chassis can terminate. Count the circuits requiring individual access ports before assigning chassis quantities. C9300LM-24U-4Y-E fits smaller port inventories; C9300LM-48UX-4Y-E covers requirements for 48 physical access connections.
