80 Gbps of stack bandwidth applies to Catalyst 2960-XR IP Lite or Catalyst 2960-X LAN Base FlexStack-Plus stacks with 8 members. 40 Gbps applies to Catalyst 2960-X with 2960-S/SF mixed stacks at 4 members and to FlexStack-Extended hybrid copper stacks at 8 members. 20 Gbps of FlexStack throughput applies to Catalyst 2960-S LAN Base stacks with 4 members. CAB-STK-E-1M connects one stack port on each neighboring switch, and a full ring of n switches needs n cables. Half cabling gives half bandwidth and removes redundant connections. FlexStack modules are hot-swappable, but adding or removing a switch from an existing stack needs that switch powered off.
New sealed and certified refurbished conditions cover CAB-STK-E-1M. Certified refurbished testing has connectors, pins, latches and housing inspected, connected between two compatible switches, and stack link up at the rated bandwidth.
