IEM-3000-8TM identifies an Industrial Ethernet 3000 copper expansion module: 3000 identifies the family, and 8TM identifies its eight-port 10/100 TX configuration. IEM-3000-8TM= is the spare ordering form. The part number identifies expansion hardware, not a complete switch or a standalone software-license tier.
IEM-3000-8TM is managed through its host using Device Manager web UI, console/SSH/Telnet CLI, SNMP tools, Cisco DNA Center, Cisco Network Assistant, Cisco Prime LMS 4.2, CiscoWorks/CiscoView, PROFINET or CIP-based tools. Configuration targets the host switch; the expansion module is not administered as an independent switch.
