When retiring a discontinued SG110D-08HP-NA, the North American replacement is CBS110-8PP-D-NA; the older model's Cisco support ends October 31, 2026. The replacement order should preserve the intended region rather than inherit a different country's ordering variant. CBS110-8PP-D denotes a Cisco Business 110 desktop switch: CBS110 identifies the family, 8 indicates eight Gigabit Ethernet ports, PP identifies partial PoE with four powered ports, and D indicates desktop construction. The four PoE ports share 32W; regional ordering variants add a country-specific suffix.
Business 110 switches operate without configuration rather than requiring a management session. Port speed and duplex negotiate automatically, and built-in QoS, loop detection, and cable diagnostics operate automatically. Connecting power and compatible Ethernet devices is sufficient for normal operation; no administrative setup is part of the deployment.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for Business 110. CBS110-8PP-D belongs to the currently available Cisco Business 110 Series Unmanaged Switches. End-of-sale dates applying to older SG110 and SF110 models do not discontinue their CBS110 replacements; the complete family name distinguishes these separate generations.
