CBS350-24XS-EU is a fiber-first, managed Layer 2+ switch with 24 10G SFP+ interfaces for small-business aggregation. Four interfaces also offer shared 10G copper connectors, with only one medium active per combo pair; the remaining fiber interfaces are dedicated. The non-PoE chassis occupies one rack unit within the Cisco Business 350 Series, connecting fiber distribution links and separately powered equipment. Fixed interfaces provide the uplink connections without a removable network module, so expansion depends on the connections already present. The discontinued CBS350-12XS-EU offers 12 SFP+ interfaces for a smaller connection schedule. Copper connectivity on this model is an alternative medium for selected links, not an additional bank of independent access ports.

480 Gbps switching capacity provides fabric bandwidth for the traffic interfaces; 240 Mpps forwarding capacity is the separate small-packet processing limit. Static routing supports 990 routes, while RIP v2 and PBR provide dynamic route exchange and policy-selected next hops. STP/RSTP/MSTP handle loop prevention, and LACP supports link aggregation. Cisco CBS350-24XS-EU carries 512 MB of DRAM for management operations and 256 MB of flash for firmware storage. Its 3 MB packet buffer is dynamically shared across ports rather than reserved separately for each connection. A 16000-entry MAC table establishes the address-learning limit for attached networks. Internal AC power accepts 100-240V input, and 39W maximum consumption establishes the chassis load for electrical planning. Four fans provide active cooling within a 0°C to 50°C operating range; this is not a fanless switch. Browser-based administration and remote CLI access support configuration and monitoring without a separate management controller.

When an existing small-business stack needs another chassis, ring and chain layouts determine how the added member connects. Active/standby stack control and cross-stack link aggregation also affect the design. Confirm the intended topology, interconnect allocation and partner compatibility before specifying the complete cable set on the purchase order.
When a branch rollout needs a management connection separate from production links, the dedicated 1GbE out-of-band port provides that attachment. Cisco Network Plug and Play supports initial provisioning. Specify the management-network connection, addressing and staging responsibilities alongside the chassis quantity before issuing the purchase order.
When replacement units need acceptance testing before installation, port mirroring can copy traffic from eight source ports to one destination. A monitoring destination still needs its own connection. Include the traffic-source schedule, analyzer attachment and required test cabling in the staging order before approving the purchase order.
PoE power for connected endpoints
Endpoint power is unavailable on every traffic interface. C1300-24P-4X provides powered Gigabit copper access instead, but changes the connection mix from fiber aggregation to copper endpoint access.

Four copper connectors share traffic ports with four SFP+ cages; they cannot expand the switch beyond 24 active links. Separate copper and fiber connections require a different port layout.
Continuing software and security maintenance
Software maintenance and vulnerability support ended May 30, 2025. C1300-24XS is the replacement for migration away from discontinued hardware while retaining the basic fiber and shared-copper configuration.

CBS350-24XS-EU identifies Cisco Business 350, 24 traffic ports, the 10G SFP+ configuration identified by XS, and the EU regional ordering variant. Four copper connectors share four SFP+ ports. EU covers the European Economic Area and additional designated markets; the suffix selects a regional version rather than a software license tier.
Cisco Business 350 Series switches support an HTTP/HTTPS web interface, CLI over console, SSH or Telnet, SNMP, Cisco Business Dashboard, and the Cisco Business mobile app. An embedded Dashboard probe runs on the switch, while Cisco Network Plug and Play supports initial provisioning.
