The MX480-PREM3-DC is a fully redundant, “built-to-stock” DC-powered routing system featuring dual Switch Control Boards (SCBEs), dual RE-S-1800X4-16G routing engines, and redundant power and fan trays for carrier-grade reliability.
Designed for service providers and large enterprises, the MX480-PREM3-DC delivers high-density 10/40/100GbE edge routing, large-scale MPLS and IP VPN services, and seamless integration into DC architectures.
It includes dual SCBEs for control-plane resiliency, two RE-S-1800X4-16G routing engines in active/backup, plus fully redundant DC power supplies and fan trays to eliminate single points of failure.
The system offers up to 2 Tbps of backplane throughput, supports millions of IPv4/IPv6 routes, and scales line-card capacity to meet evolving bandwidth demands.
