The MX960-PREMIUM2-AC is a high-capacity Juniper MX960 base chassis configured with dual redundant premium routing engines (REs), modular switch control boards (SCBs), redundant AC power entry modules (PEMs), and an integrated cable manager for optimized data center deployment.
This SKU includes the MX960 chassis, two RE-PREMIUM2 routing engines, four SCB2 switch control boards, two AC-PEM5 power entry modules with N+1 redundancy, and the factory-installed cable manager.
The MX960’s active-passive redundant routing engines operate in synchronization; if the primary RE fails, the standby RE automatically takes over, ensuring uninterrupted control-plane operations.
The MX960-PREMIUM2-AC supports up to 6.4 Tbps of switching capacity and up to 2.4 Bpps (billion packets per second) of forwarding performance within a single chassis.
