The MX960BASE-AC-ECM is Juniper’s base chassis midplane assembly for the MX960 router, featuring two Switch Control Boards (SCBs), three AC power entry modules (PEMs), and an enhanced cable manager for high-density network environments.
The MX960BASE-AC-ECM package includes a chassis midplane, two active SCBs, three high-efficiency AC power entry modules, and an enhanced cable management tray—ready for line cards and Switch Fabric Modules.
This chassis midplane supports three hot-swappable AC power entry modules, delivering N+1 redundancy and seamless failover between 200–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz inputs.
Mount the MX960 chassis on standard 19-inch rack rails, secure with bolts, install the SCBs and ACMs per the installation guide, connect AC power cables to the PEMs, and route data cables through the enhanced cable manager.
