SG350X-48-K9-UK is a managed Layer 2+ access switch with 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports and four fixed 10G uplinks for small-business networks. Two uplinks combine 10GBASE-T copper and SFP+ interfaces, while two additional SFP+ positions provide fiber connectivity; each combo position activates only one interface at a time. The 1U rack-mount chassis belongs to the Cisco 350X Series Stackable Managed Switches and connects separately powered endpoints rather than supplying PoE. The discontinued SG350X-48P-K9-UK adds PoE+ for existing installations requiring endpoint power. Hardware stacking joins four members into one system with unified data, control and management planes. The Cisco SG350X-48 configuration combines Gigabit endpoint connections with mixed-media aggregation without requiring a removable uplink card. Its fixed uplink architecture makes connection medium and connector compatibility the main uplink selection decisions.

176 Gbps switching capacity carries access and uplink traffic through a nonblocking switching fabric, while 130.94 Mpps forwarding specifies performance with 64-byte packets. Static IPv4 and IPv6 routing connects local subnets; dynamic routing is outside the feature set. SG350X-48-K9-UK holds 16000 MAC entries for endpoint learning, with 512 MB DRAM and 256 MB flash supporting operation and image storage. A shared 3 MB packet buffer handles bursts across the ports rather than reserving that amount for each interface. STP/RSTP/MSTP control Layer 2 loops, while LACP supports aggregated connections. Support for 4094 active VLANs provides segmentation capacity. Browser configuration, a scriptable CLI and SNMP provide local administration and external monitoring paths. 51.6W maximum system consumption establishes the upstream power allowance for the chassis, and the internal universal supply accepts 100–240V AC. Single-fan cooling and a 0°C to 50°C operating range establish the enclosure and ventilation requirements. The USB interface supports file and image management without occupying a network connection.

An existing SG350X, SG350XG or SX350X stack needs another compatible member without changing the stack family. Ring and chain arrangements use 10G interconnects, and link aggregation can combine stack connections. Reserve interfaces for stack traffic, match the interconnect medium to the installed members, and include the required connections on the purchase order.
A repeat branch rollout needs common settings rather than individually rebuilt configurations. Text-editable configuration files and secure SCP downloads support reusable staging, while DHCP options 66 and 67 provide provisioning information. Identify branch-specific addresses, the approved configuration file and the transfer method before specifying staging requirements on the purchase order.
A lab or staging bench needs traffic visibility before switches enter service. Port mirroring can send traffic from eight source ports to one destination, and dual software images support upgrade preparation. Specify the capture connection, target image and acceptance traffic requirements before ordering the staging batch.
PoE power for connected endpoints
SG350X-48-K9-UK supplies no PoE to endpoints. C1300-48P-4X is the current 48-port Gigabit PoE migration option for purchases requiring power delivery over network cabling.
Multigigabit speeds on access ports
The 48 access ports stop at Gigabit Ethernet. The faster interfaces serve uplink connections, so endpoints requiring native 2.5G or 5G access need different hardware.
Cisco support beyond October 2026
Cisco service ends October 31, 2026, regardless of the original warranty headline. C1300-48T-4X is the current endpoint of the replacement chain for new-standard purchases.

SG350X-48-K9-UK identifies a 350X Gigabit stackable managed switch with 48 access ports and the -UK regional ordering suffix. SG350X is the model family; 48 is the port count. The -UK form covers the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
Cisco 350X Series switches support a web UI over HTTP/HTTPS, CLI through the console or SSH/Telnet, SNMP, Smart Network Application, and FindIT Network Manager and Probe. FindIT Network Discovery also discovers devices and exposes inventory information. The browser interface includes configuration wizards and a customizable dashboard.
SG350X-48-K9-UK provides four fixed 10G uplinks: two 10GBASE-T/SFP+ combo positions and two dedicated SFP+ positions. Each combo activates either copper or fiber, not both. SFP-10G-SR= supports multimode fiber, and SFP-10G-LR= supports single-mode fiber; select matching transceivers and the correct fiber type for the connection.
Cisco 350X Series hardware stacking joins four members, including mixed SG350X, SG350XG and SX350X systems. Stack control includes a master and backup, with ring or chain connections. SFP-H10GB-CU1M=, SFP-H10GB-CU3M= and SFP-H10GB-CU5M= provide copper interconnect options; specify the appropriate length and reserve the interfaces required for stacking.
Yes, SG350X-48-K9-UK supports static IPv4 and IPv6 routing, with 990 IPv4 static routes and 245 IPv6 static routes. Its routing capability fits Layer 2+ deployments rather than dynamic routing designs. Support extends to 128 IPv4 interfaces and 106 IPv6 interfaces for connections between local networks.
SG350X-48-K9-UK requires AC power through its internal universal supply, accepting 100–240V AC. Worst-case system consumption is 51.6W at 110V or 51.4W at 220V. Size upstream power for the higher maximum rather than adding an endpoint-power allocation, because this model does not supply PoE.
SG350X-48-K9-UK replaces the discontinued SF550X-48-K9-UK, whose end-of-sale date was June 18, 2020. The older model offered 48 Fast Ethernet ports; the replacement provides Gigabit access. Both models are discontinued, so maintaining an existing installation is a different purchase decision from selecting hardware for a new standard.
Yes, SG350X-48-K9-UK reached end of sale on October 30, 2021, and Cisco service ends October 31, 2026. Its first replacement, CBS350-48T-4X-UK, is also discontinued; the current replacement chain ends at C1300-48T-4X. Existing warranty entitlement does not extend Cisco service beyond the last support date.
SG350X-48-K9-UK provides no PoE, whereas the discontinued SG350X-48P-K9-UK powers endpoints from a shared 382W budget. Both are legacy models. The unpowered version suits maintaining separately powered devices; the PoE version addresses existing installations requiring power delivery over the network connection instead of separate endpoint supplies.
SG350X-48-K9-UK has 48 Gigabit access ports, whereas the discontinued SG350X-24-K9-UK has 24. Both versions retain four fixed 10G uplinks. The 48-port model serves denser legacy installations; the 24-port version fits smaller existing port requirements without changing the uplink speed class or introducing PoE.
SG350X-48-K9-UK has two 10GBASE-T/SFP+ combo uplinks plus two SFP+ uplinks, whereas C1300-48T-4X has four 10G SFP+ uplinks. The discontinued 350X model retains copper uplink choices for existing installations; the current Catalyst 1300 replacement suits new purchases standardizing on four SFP+ uplink connections.
ORM Systems offers SG350X-48-K9-UK new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended ORM warranty for new units or up to 1 year for refurbished units. All conditions include 30-day returns, terms apply. Cisco's limited lifetime hardware warranty is bounded by its last support date, October 31, 2026.
