SG350X-8PMD-K9-NA is a stackable eight-port 2.5G PoE+ desktop switch with two fixed 10G combo uplinks for small-business networks. Each combo uplink uses either 10GBASE-T copper or SFP+ fiber, with only one medium active at a time. The Cisco 350X Series pairs managed access switching with Layer 2+ operation, so the equipment selection should account for endpoint connections and upstream media rather than port density alone. A mounting kit, power cord and console cable are included for installation and local setup. The discontinued SG350X-12PMV-K9-NA offers a larger 375W PoE budget within the same legacy family. The 8-port multigigabit PoE configuration retains fixed uplinks rather than a removable network-module bay; specify the connection medium for each upstream link before finalizing the equipment list.

80 Gbps switching capacity supports forwarding between the access connections and upstream links. 29.76 Mpps forwarding rate defines the published performance for 64-byte packets, so compare packet-count requirements separately from aggregate bandwidth. 240W of shared PoE power must be allocated to connected loads; the budget is not a separate allowance for each port. Static IPv4 routing supports 990 routes rather than dynamic route exchange. SG350X-8PMD-K9-NA has 512 MB of memory and 256 MB of flash for runtime operations and stored images. Its 1.5 MB packet buffer is dynamically shared across ports instead of being reserved equally for each connection. A 16000-entry MAC table and 4094 active VLANs set address and segmentation limits. STP, RSTP and MSTP control switching loops, while LACP aggregates links. Eight hardware queues provide traffic-priority handling; include the required queue mappings and aggregation policies in the staging configuration.
ORM Systems offers SG350X-8PMD-K9-NA new sealed or certified refurbished; refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested, with PoE output verified under load on every powered port, optics bay recognition checked, firmware verified and configuration wiped to factory default. New orders carry up to a 3-year extended ORM warranty and certified refurbished orders up to 1 year; returns are 30 days on every condition, terms apply, while Cisco's limited lifetime hardware warranty remains subject to entitlement and ends no later than July 31, 2027. Specify condition, quantity and required accessories on the PO. Single-unit and volume POs are accepted, with Net-30 for government, RMA with advance replacement and regional stock/RMA across UK, EU, US and MEA.

When a powered endpoint list includes higher-draw devices, separate the four 60W-capable access ports from the other four ports, which are limited to 30W each. Higher-draw devices must be mapped to the appropriate ports rather than assigned interchangeably across the chassis. Record per-device power requirements and the intended port map before the PO.
When a branch adds addressed interfaces across local network segments, interface count becomes a purchase constraint alongside the number of connected devices. The 350X configuration allows 128 IP interfaces and 106 IPv6 interfaces; IPv6 routing supports 245 static routes. Check the addressing plan, interface inventory and required IPv6 route count before ordering.
When a unit must be prepared before its installation window, the front-panel USB Type A slot supports configuration and image transfer during staging. Dual firmware images provide separate image storage for upgrade preparation. Identify the approved image, configuration files and file-transfer procedure, then specify the staging requirements on the purchase order.
5G access for connected endpoints
SG350X-8PMD-K9-NA access ports stop at 2.5G; 10G connectivity is confined to the uplinks. A 5G endpoint requirement exceeds the access-port capability, regardless of the uplink medium selected.
Fanless operation in occupied spaces
SG350X-8PMD-K9-NA uses one fan and does not offer fanless operation. Acoustic output is 41.3 dB at 25°C and 42.9 dB at 45°C, excluding this configuration from fanless equipment requirements.
Cisco support beyond July 2027
Cisco support for SG350X-8PMD-K9-NA ends July 31, 2027. CBS350-8MP-2X-NA is also discontinued, and this replacement line has no current migration successor.

SG350X-8PMD-K9-NA identifies a Cisco 350X stackable managed switch with eight 2.5G PoE+ access ports. SG350X identifies the family; 8PMD identifies the eight-port multigigabit PoE configuration, including four 60W-capable ports. The NA suffix covers the USA, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Chile and the rest of LATAM.
SG350X-8PMD-K9-NA is managed through its HTTP/HTTPS web interface, console CLI, SSH or Telnet, SNMP, Smart Network Application, Cisco FindIT Network Manager and Active Advisor. The embedded FindIT Network Probe supports network discovery. Select the management method before staging and restrict remote administration to approved interfaces. Cisco PnP Connect supports initial provisioning.
SG350X-8PMD-K9-NA is discontinued: Cisco ended sales July 30, 2022, and support ends July 31, 2027. Software maintenance releases ended July 30, 2023. The original replacement, CBS350-8MP-2X-NA, is also discontinued and has no current migration successor. Plan legacy spares without treating the replacement as a current Cisco offering.
ORM Systems offers SG350X-8PMD-K9-NA new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty on new orders and up to 1 year on certified refurbished orders. Returns are 30 days on every condition; terms apply. Cisco's limited lifetime hardware warranty is subject to entitlement and ends no later than July 31, 2027.
SG350X-8PMD-K9-NA provides a shared 240W PoE budget across eight powered ports. Four ports support 60W PoE; the remaining four provide a maximum of 30W each. The combined per-port maximum is 360W, so allocate available power against endpoint requirements rather than assuming every port can draw its maximum simultaneously.
SG350X-8PMD-K9-NA has two 10G uplinks, each shared between 10GBASE-T copper and SFP+. Only one medium in each combo pair can be active at a time. SFP-10G-SR= supports multimode fiber and SFP-10G-LR= supports single-mode fiber. Order the selected optics separately and specify the medium for each upstream connection.
The Cisco 350X Series stacks four members using 10G fiber or copper interfaces, with ring or chain topologies. Hybrid stacks can mix SG350X, SG350XG and SX350X models. Copper interconnect options include SFP-H10GB-CU1M=, SFP-H10GB-CU3M= and SFP-H10GB-CU5M=. Specify cable reach and reserve interconnect links alongside the switch quantities.
SG350X-8PMD-K9-NA supports static routing, with 990 IPv4 routes and 128 IP interfaces; IPv6 supports 245 static routes and 106 interfaces. This configuration is Layer 2+ rather than a dynamic-routing selection. Specify interface requirements and route counts separately, and retain a separate router where the design requires protocol-driven route exchange.
No, SG350X-8PMD-K9-NA has a desktop-width chassis measuring 344.4 mm wide, 44 mm high and 252.5 mm deep. A mounting kit is included, but the chassis itself is narrower than a full-width rack switch. Confirm mounting hardware, cable clearance and ventilation against the intended installation location before ordering.
The 8-port 2.5G PoE+ access switch uses an internal 100-240V AC supply, with worst-case consumption of 312.4W at 110V including PoE. A power cord is included with the equipment. Specify the regional ordering suffix and confirm the available AC feed and electrical load allocation before placing the order.
SG350X-12PMV-K9-NA has a 375W PoE budget compared with 240W on SG350X-8PMD-K9-NA; both models are discontinued. Compare aggregate endpoint draw rather than counting powered devices alone. The smaller budget suits legacy installations with lower combined power requirements, while SG350X-12PMV-K9-NA accommodates a larger aggregate powered-endpoint load within this legacy family.
SG350X-24PD-K9-NA has four 10G uplinks, while SG350X-8PMD-K9-NA has two; both models are discontinued. The additional connections include two dedicated SFP+ ports beyond the combo uplinks. The two-uplink configuration suits legacy layouts requiring fewer upstream connections, while SG350X-24PD-K9-NA serves legacy layouts that need the additional independent uplink connections.
CBS350-8MP-2X-NA reached end of sale October 29, 2024, while SG350X-8PMD-K9-NA reached that milestone July 30, 2022. The CBS350 model was the designated replacement, but is also discontinued and has no current migration successor. Buyers maintaining either legacy installation should match existing equipment rather than treating CBS350 as a current refresh.
The Cisco 350X Series provides STP, RSTP and MSTP loop control, LACP aggregation and 4094 active VLANs. The eight-port multigigabit configuration has 1.5 MB of shared packet buffers and eight hardware queues. Apply VLAN, aggregation and queue-policy requirements during staging rather than assuming the default configuration matches the traffic plan.
