SG350X-12PMV-K9 combines multigigabit endpoint connectivity and powered access in a managed Layer 2+ switch for small-business networks. Twelve RJ-45 access ports operate at 100M, 1G, 2.5G or 5G and provide PoE+, including eight ports supporting 60W PoE. Four fixed 10G uplinks comprise two dedicated SFP+ connections and two copper/SFP+ combo connections, with one medium active per combo. The Cisco 350X Series Stackable Managed Switches accommodates these interfaces in a 1U rack chassis for access points, IP phones and other powered Ethernet equipment. The discontinued SG350X-8PMD-K9-NA has a lower 240W PoE allowance. The fixed uplink architecture requires no removable network card, so uplink medium selection determines the connectivity parts required alongside the chassis.

200 Gbps switching capacity supports nonblocking switching across the interfaces. 148.8 Mpps forwarding at a 64-byte packet size establishes the packet-handling ceiling for small-packet workloads. 375W of shared PoE power covers combined endpoint demand, rather than every powered port operating at its individual maximum simultaneously. Static IPv4 and IPv6 routing permits communication between local subnets; dynamic routing is absent. SG350X-12PMV-K9 uses 512 MB of DRAM and 256 MB of flash for control-plane operation and image storage. A 3 MB packet buffer is shared across ports, while the 16000-entry MAC table bounds learned addresses. Support for 990 IPv4 static routes and 128 IP interfaces sets the limits for a local routing plan. STP, RSTP and MSTP provide spanning-tree operation, while LACP supports eight aggregation groups with eight active ports per group. The 350X family also supports 4094 active VLANs for separating traffic, with eight hardware queues available for traffic prioritization.
Order SG350X-12PMV-K9 in new sealed or certified refurbished condition, specifying the regional version and required connectivity parts on the PO. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, clean boot, rated-speed links on every port, PoE output under load on every powered port, optics bay recognition, PSU status and fan status; firmware is verified and configurations are wiped to factory default. ORM warranties provide up to a 3-year extended term for new units and up to 1 year for certified refurbished units, with 30-day returns on every condition; terms apply. Enterprise and volume orders support PO acceptance, Net-30 for government, and RMA with advance replacement across UK, EU, US and MEA.

For a rollout spanning several small-business sites, text-editable configurations allow a prepared file to be adapted for each location, and SCP supports protected configuration transfer. Embedded Smartports roles can apply endpoint policies automatically. Specify the site-specific configuration files and endpoint policy requirements before issuing the PO.
Where local subnet communication is needed without sending every path through a separate router, IPv6 static routing supports 245 routes and 106 IPv6 interfaces. Physical ports, link aggregation groups and VLAN interfaces can host routed interfaces. Check the required subnet count and route plan before specifying the configuration on the order.
For lab validation or staged equipment replacement, the front-panel USB Type A connection supports file and image handling, while dual software images support firmware-change workflows. A standard RJ-45 console connection provides local access during preparation. Include the required image version and configuration handling in the staging instructions on the PO.
10G connections on every access port
Native access ports stop at 5G; the 10G interfaces are uplinks. A design requiring every endpoint connection at 10G exceeds the access-port speed of this model.
Fanless operation in occupied rooms
Three cooling fans produce 39.4 dB at 0°C to 25°C and 52.2 dB at 45°C. The chassis does not provide fanless operation.
Dynamically learned inter-subnet routes
Routing is static for IPv4 and IPv6, with no dynamic routing capability in the supplied feature set. Designs requiring automatic route exchange need different routing equipment.

SG350X-12PMV-K9 identifies a 350X managed stackable switch with twelve 100M/1G/2.5G/5G PoE+ access ports and four 10G uplinks. SG350X identifies the switch family, while 12PMV identifies this powered multigigabit configuration. The complete North American ordering form is SG350X-12PMV-K9-NA; the final regional suffix distinguishes the country or region.
SG350X-12PMV-K9 supports HTTP/HTTPS web management, a full or menu CLI through console, SSH or Telnet, and SNMP versions 1, 2c and 3. Additional management paths include Smart Network Application, Cisco FindIT Network Manager, Active Advisor and an embedded FindIT Network Probe. These are managed-switch interfaces rather than configuration-free operation.
SG350X-12PMV-K9 reached end of sale on July 30, 2022 for its North American ordering form. Software maintenance ended July 30, 2023, and the last date of Cisco support is July 31, 2027. Procurement should distinguish remaining reseller inventory from equipment still available through Cisco's original ordering channel.
ORM Systems offers SG350X-12PMV-K9 new sealed with up to a 3-year extended warranty or certified refurbished with up to a 1-year warranty. Both include 30-day returns; terms apply. Cisco's separate limited lifetime hardware warranty remains subject to entitlement, and North American Cisco service ends July 31, 2027.
The China-region SG350X-12PMV-K9-CN replaced the discontinued SG350-8PD-K9-CN and SG350X-8PMD-K9-CN, whose end-of-sale date was June 5, 2020. That migration applies specifically to China-region orders, not an automatic substitution across regional versions. Confirm the regional identifier when matching an older installed unit to a replacement purchase.
SG350X-12PMV-K9 provides a shared 375W PoE budget across twelve powered access ports, with eight supporting 60W and the remaining four supporting 30W. Those individual ceilings total 600W, exceeding the shared allowance. Endpoint loads must therefore be allocated within 375W rather than sized from port count alone.
SG350X-12PMV-K9 supports SFP-10G-SR= for 10G multimode fiber and SFP-10G-LR= for 10G single-mode fiber, among its supported optics. The chassis has two dedicated SFP+ uplinks and two copper/SFP+ combo uplinks. Each combo permits only one active medium, so using its optical connection excludes simultaneous use of its copper connection.
Cisco 350X hardware stacking supports four members managed as one system, including mixed SG350X, SG350XG and SX350X switches. Stack interconnections use 10G copper or fiber interfaces, with ring and chain arrangements supported. SFP-H10GB-CU1M=, SFP-H10GB-CU3M= and SFP-H10GB-CU5M= provide supported copper interconnect lengths of 1 m, 3 m and 5 m.
Yes, SG350X-12PMV-K9 supports static IPv4 and IPv6 routing between VLANs and other routed interfaces. IPv4 capacity is 990 static routes with 128 IP interfaces; IPv6 supports 245 static routes with 106 interfaces. Its routing capability is static, so the switch is classified here as Layer 2+ rather than a dynamic-routing Layer 3 model.
The 350X 12-port multigigabit model occupies 1U and measures 440 mm wide, 44 mm high and 257 mm deep, with a weight of 4.24 kg. Its internal universal supply accepts 100-240V AC. Three fans provide cooling, and worst-case consumption with PoE reaches 494.5W at 110V.
SG350X-12PMV-K9 provides a 375W shared PoE budget, compared with 240W on SG350X-8PMD-K9-NA. This comparison concerns available endpoint power rather than a common family-wide figure. Both models are discontinued; legacy installations with larger aggregate powered-device demand need the higher allowance, while lower-demand installations may fit within the smaller budget.
SG350X-12PMV-K9 has twelve access ports, while SG350X-24PV-K9-NA has twenty-four access ports. Both are discontinued models, so this is a legacy density comparison rather than a current-generation recommendation. A twelve-endpoint installation fits the smaller access-port count; an installation exceeding twelve wired endpoints requires the larger port count or additional switching.
SG350X-12PMV-K9 has four 10G uplinks, whereas SX350X-12-K9-NA has two 10G copper/SFP+ combo uplinks. Both models are discontinued. For legacy matching, the former accommodates a four-uplink connection plan, while the latter accommodates a two-uplink plan; uplink count should be checked separately from the number of access connections.
CBS350-12NP-4X-NA replaced the North American SG350X-12PMV-K9 ordering form, but CBS350-12NP-4X-NA is also discontinued. Its end-of-sale date was May 30, 2024, and Cisco support ends May 31, 2029. That replacement line has no current migration product, so the historical replacement should not be treated as a current successor.
