Copper Connectivity for Small Business Server Networks

SG350XG-24T-K9-NA provides 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for servers, network storage and small-business aggregation. This managed Layer 2+ switch combines 22 dedicated copper network ports with two fixed copper/SFP+ combo uplinks, giving 24 active network connections rather than additional independent fiber ports. Each combo connection accepts copper or fiber, with only one medium active at a time. The non-PoE configuration connects independently powered equipment rather than supplying endpoint power. A full-width 1U chassis places the Cisco 350X Series switch in a rack alongside the equipment it connects. The discontinued SG350XG-48T-K9-NA increases copper connection density to 48 ports, while retaining two shared SFP+ connections. The 24-port configuration therefore keeps the same copper-first architecture at a lower connection count.

Technical Details

480 Gbps switching capacity supports nonblocking traffic across the installed network interfaces. 357.12 Mpps forwarding handles 64-byte packets at the published standalone rate. Static IPv4 and IPv6 routing allows communication between local subnets without requiring every internal flow to traverse an external router; dynamic routing is not part of this feature set. SG350XG-24T-K9-NA carries 512 MB of DRAM and 256 MB of flash for its embedded software and configuration storage. A dynamically shared 2 MB packet buffer serves the network ports, while the 32000-entry MAC table accommodates learned Ethernet addresses. STP, RSTP and MSTP provide spanning-tree controls, and LACP supports aggregated Ethernet connections. Browser-based administration, a scriptable CLI and SNMP provide distinct operational interfaces. The dedicated Gigabit out-of-band management connection separates administrative access from the switched network. Four fans provide active cooling, so this is not a fanless installation option.

Ordering

Order SG350XG-24T-K9-NA in new sealed or certified refurbished condition; ORM warranty is up to 3-year extended for new units and up to 1 year for certified refurbished units, while Cisco's original limited lifetime hardware warranty and service ended June 30, 2025. Refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, clean boot, rated-speed links on every port, optics bay recognition, PSU status and fan status; firmware is verified and configurations are wiped to factory default. Specify condition, quantity and required accessories on the PO; returns are available for 30 days on every condition, with terms applying. For enterprise and volume orders, POs are accepted, government buyers have Net-30, and regional stock and RMA with advance replacement cover the UK, EU, US and MEA.

Buying Notes

Buying NotesKey Specs

Purchase beyond service retirement

SG350XG-24T-K9-NA requires a purchase decision outside Cisco service coverage, which ended June 30, 2025. C1300-24XT is the current migration endpoint; the intermediate SX350X-24-K9-NA and CBS350-24XT-NA are discontinued.

Specify connection accessories separately

Fiber and direct-attach connections require separate accessories. SFP-10G-SR= supports multimode fiber, SFP-10G-LR= supports single-mode fiber, and SFP-H10GB-CU1M= provides a 1 m copper direct-attach connection.

Best For

Routed Department Segmentation

Where departments need local communication between separate subnets, routed interfaces can be assigned to physical ports, aggregated links or VLAN interfaces. The limit is 128 IPv4 interfaces, distinct from the route limit. Count the routed segments and specify the interface assignments before the PO.

Multi-Site Configuration Baselines

When branches need a common configuration baseline, text-editable configuration files can be transferred between switches, and Cisco PnP Connect supports provisioning workflows. Treat site-specific addressing and authentication settings as staging inputs rather than assuming identical live configurations. Specify the configuration baseline and provisioning workflow before placing the order.

Firmware Staging and Recovery

When a replacement must be prepared before a maintenance window, dual firmware images allow separate software images to be retained on the switch. The front-panel USB Type A slot supports image and configuration file handling. Include the intended image, saved configuration and staging checks in the purchase requirements.

Not Suitable If

Power delivery to connected endpoints

The copper interfaces do not provide PoE output. Phones, access points and other powered endpoints require their own power source rather than power from this switch.

Independent fiber uplinks beyond copper capacity

The two SFP+ cages share connections with two copper interfaces. Using both fiber connections leaves 22 active copper connections, not 24 copper connections plus fiber.

Continuing Cisco service coverage

Cisco service ended June 30, 2025. C1300-24XT is the current endpoint of the replacement chain for purchases that require a current-generation migration option.

Questions & Answers

What does the SG350XG-24T-K9-NA part number identify?

SG350XG-24T-K9-NA identifies a Cisco 350X managed switch with 24 10GBASE-T copper interfaces. SG350XG names the model group, 24T identifies the copper configuration, and NA selects the USA, Canada, Mexico and specified Latin American region. Two copper interfaces share their connections with SFP+ cages.

How is SG350XG-24T-K9-NA managed?

SG350XG-24T-K9-NA is managed through an HTTP/HTTPS web interface, full or menu CLI over SSH/Telnet or the RJ-45 console, and SNMP v1/v2c/v3. Cisco Smart Network Application, FindIT Network Manager, embedded FindIT Network Probe, FindIT Network Discovery Utility and Active Advisor provide additional management or discovery paths.

Is SG350XG-24T-K9-NA discontinued?

SG350XG-24T-K9-NA is discontinued, with end of sale on June 18, 2020, and Cisco service ending June 30, 2025. Software maintenance ended June 18, 2021. Purchasing remaining inventory does not restart these milestones, so the unit must be evaluated as hardware beyond its Cisco support period.

What condition and warranty options does ORM Systems offer for SG350XG-24T-K9-NA?

SG350XG-24T-K9-NA is offered new sealed or certified refurbished, with ORM warranty up to 3-year extended for new units and up to 1 year for certified refurbished units. Cisco's original limited lifetime hardware warranty and service ended June 30, 2025. Returns are available for 30 days on every condition; terms apply.

How many independent network connections does SG350XG-24T-K9-NA provide?

SG350XG-24T-K9-NA provides 24 independent network connections: 22 dedicated copper ports and two copper/SFP+ combo connections. Each combo connection activates either its copper interface or its SFP+ cage, not both simultaneously. The separate Gigabit out-of-band management port does not add another switched network connection.

Can Cisco 350X switches form a mixed hardware stack?

Cisco 350X hardware stacking supports four members and permits SG350X, SG350XG and SX350X switches in the same stack. Ring and chain arrangements are supported through 10G copper or fiber interfaces. SFP-H10GB-CU1M= is a supported 1 m direct-attach cable option when that connection type suits the stack layout.

What routing limits apply to SG350XG-24T-K9-NA?

SG350XG-24T-K9-NA supports 990 static IPv4 routes and 245 static IPv6 routes, placing this configuration in the Layer 2+ category. Interface limits are 128 for IPv4 and 106 for IPv6. Routed interfaces can use physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLAN interfaces or loopback interfaces.

What power and cooling requirements apply to the Cisco 350X 24-port copper switch?

The Cisco 350X 24-port copper switch uses an internal 100-240V AC supply and four fans. Worst-case consumption is 146.7W at 110V and 144.7W at 220V. The operating range is 0°C to 50°C, so rack power and ambient conditions must accommodate an actively cooled unit.

Which 10G fiber accessories work with SG350XG-24T-K9-NA?

SG350XG-24T-K9-NA supports SFP-10G-SR= for multimode fiber and SFP-10G-LR= for single-mode fiber. SFP-10G-SR= supports distances from 26 m to 400 m according to the fiber connection, while SFP-10G-LR= supports 10 km. Both use the fixed shared SFP+ cages rather than a removable uplink card.

What is the difference between SG350XG-24T-K9-NA and SG350XG-24F-K9-NA?

SG350XG-24T-K9-NA provides 24 copper interfaces with two shared SFP+ connections, while SG350XG-24F-K9-NA provides 24 SFP+ interfaces with two shared copper connections. Both models are discontinued. The copper configuration serves copper-connected legacy equipment; the fiber configuration addresses an existing installation built primarily around SFP+ connections.

What is the difference between SG350XG-24T-K9-NA and SG350XG-48T-K9-NA?

SG350XG-48T-K9-NA provides 48 copper interfaces compared with 24 on SG350XG-24T-K9-NA, and each model shares two copper connections with SFP+ cages. Both are discontinued. The 24-port model fits a smaller existing copper connection requirement; the 48-port model addresses higher connection density within the same legacy switch family.

What is the difference between SG350XG-24T-K9-NA and C1300-24XT?

C1300-24XT provides four shared 10G SFP+ connections, compared with two on SG350XG-24T-K9-NA. C1300-24XT is the current migration endpoint; SX350X-24-K9-NA and CBS350-24XT-NA are discontinued intermediate replacements. The older model serves an existing hardware requirement, while the successor accommodates buyers requiring the current copper configuration with more shared fiber connections.
