Copper Connectivity for Small Business Servers and Storage

SG350XG-24T-K9-EU connects small-business servers and network storage through 10 Gigabit Ethernet, with 22 dedicated copper access ports and two fixed 10GBASE-T/SFP+ combo uplinks. Those shared uplinks complete the 24 physical copper connections; selecting fiber uses the corresponding copper interface's place rather than adding another connection. This managed Layer 2+ switch operates without PoE output and occupies a full-width 1U rack position. The Cisco 350X Series supports server access and aggregation within a hardware-stackable family. The discontinued SG350XG-24F-K9-EU instead concentrates its connections in SFP+ fiber interfaces, making connection media the principal distinction. The SG350XG-24T supports 1G and 10G operation on its copper and fiber connections, allowing link speeds to match attached equipment.

Technical Details

480 Gbps switching capacity and 357.12 Mpps forwarding support wire-speed, nonblocking traffic handling. 990 IPv4 static routes and 128 IPv4 interfaces provide local routing between configured networks; IPv6 static routing supports 245 routes and 106 interfaces. Dynamic routing is not part of the switch's routing feature set. Runtime resources include 512 MB of DRAM and 256 MB of flash, while the MAC table accommodates 32000 entries. SG350XG-24T-K9-EU shares a 2 MB packet buffer across its ports rather than assigning that capacity to each connection. STP/RSTP/MSTP provide spanning-tree operation, and LACP supports aggregated links. DHCP snooping, IP Source Guard, and Dynamic ARP Inspection apply controls to endpoint address information. Jumbo frames reach 9000 bytes where the connected network supports the selected frame size. 146.7W worst-case consumption provides the maximum published figure for electrical provisioning; consumption at 220V is 144.7W.

Ordering

SG350XG-24T-K9-EU is available from ORM Systems in new sealed or certified refurbished condition. Refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, clean boot, every port linking at rated speed, and optics bay recognition; firmware is verified and configurations are wiped to factory default. Specify condition, quantity, and accessory PIDs on your PO: new units carry up to a 3-year extended warranty, certified refurbished units up to 1 year, and both include 30-day returns, terms apply. Enterprise and volume purchasing includes PO acceptance, Net-30 for government, and RMA with advance replacement, with regional stock and RMA across the UK, EU, US, and MEA.

Best For

Existing Stack Expansion

When an existing 350X installation needs another member, hardware stacking can mix SG350X, SG350XG, and SX350X switches, with ring or chain layouts and link aggregation across members. Reserve network interfaces for stack links and specify the interconnect media, topology, and existing member compatibility before the purchase order.

Multi-Site Configuration Standardization

When several locations need the same switch configuration, text-editable configuration files and secure SCP downloads support a repeatable staging process. DHCP-assisted configuration can supply the configuration file location. Define the site-specific addressing, reusable configuration file, and provisioning method before specifying quantities for the rollout purchase order.

Lab Traffic Capture

When a lab or staging rack needs packet inspection, port mirroring can send traffic from eight source ports to one destination port. RSPAN also supports capture across a Layer 2 domain. Identify the analyzer connection, source interfaces, and local or remote capture arrangement before ordering the lab configuration.

Not Suitable If

PoE power for connected endpoints

SG350XG-24T-K9-EU provides data connectivity without PoE output. Phones, access points, and other powered endpoints require separate power equipment rather than power from its network ports.

Fiber uplinks beyond copper port count

The two SFP+ connections share interfaces with two copper ports. Selecting fiber removes those copper paths; the chassis does not add dedicated fiber connections beyond its copper port count.

Active Cisco service after purchase

Cisco service for SG350XG-24T-K9-EU ended June 30, 2025. C1300-24XT is the current migration target and provides four shared SFP+ connections rather than two.

Questions & Answers

What does the SG350XG-24T-K9-EU part number mean?

SG350XG-24T-K9-EU identifies a Cisco SG350XG 24-port 10GBASE-T stackable switch for the EU regional ordering group. SG350XG names the model family, 24 denotes port quantity, T identifies copper connectivity, and EU is the regional suffix. K9 is retained as part of the complete ordering identifier.

How is SG350XG-24T-K9-EU managed?

SG350XG-24T-K9-EU supports HTTP/HTTPS web management, full and menu CLI through console, SSH or Telnet, and SNMP versions 1, 2c, and 3. Management integrations include Smart Network Application, FindIT Network Manager, the embedded FindIT Network Probe, and Active Advisor. A dedicated Gigabit Ethernet port provides out-of-band management connectivity.

Is SG350XG-24T-K9-EU end of life?

SG350XG-24T-K9-EU is discontinued: Cisco ended sales on June 18, 2020, and service on June 30, 2025. Software maintenance releases ended June 18, 2021. Purchasing remaining new inventory or a refurbished unit does not restart Cisco support eligibility or restore software maintenance for the model.

What conditions and warranties does ORM Systems offer for SG350XG-24T-K9-EU?

ORM Systems offers SG350XG-24T-K9-EU new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty for new units and up to 1 year for certified refurbished units. Both conditions include 30-day returns; terms apply. Cisco's original limited lifetime hardware warranty ended with Cisco service on June 30, 2025.

Does SG350XG-24T-K9-EU supply PoE power?

No, SG350XG-24T-K9-EU does not provide PoE or PoE+ power from its Ethernet ports. Copper connections carry network data, while attached phones, access points, and other powered devices need separate power sources. A count of available copper connections is therefore not an endpoint power budget for this model.

How many switches can the 350X Series stack?

The 350X Series supports a hardware stack of four members, including mixed SG350X, SG350XG, and SX350X models. Ring and chain layouts use 10G fiber or copper interconnects. Supported direct-attach cable options include SFP-H10GB-CU1M=, SFP-H10GB-CU3M=, and SFP-H10GB-CU5M=; allocate network interfaces to the selected stack layout before ordering.

What routing does SG350XG-24T-K9-EU support?

SG350XG-24T-K9-EU provides Layer 2+ operation with 990 IPv4 static routes and 128 IPv4 interfaces. IPv6 static routing supports 245 routes and 106 IPv6 interfaces. Routed interfaces can be physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLAN interfaces, or loopback interfaces; dynamic routing is not part of the switch's routing feature set.

Which fiber transceivers work with SG350XG-24T-K9-EU?

SG350XG-24T-K9-EU accepts SFP-10G-SR= for multimode fiber and SFP-10G-LR= for single-mode fiber. SFP-10G-LR= supports 10 km links; SFP-10G-SR= reach ranges from 26 m to 400 m depending on fiber. The two SFP+ cages share interfaces with copper ports, so fiber selection does not increase the total connection count.

What is the difference between SG350XG-24T-K9-EU and SG350XG-24F-K9-EU?

SG350XG-24T-K9-EU concentrates its 24 ports in 10GBASE-T copper, whereas SG350XG-24F-K9-EU concentrates its 24 ports in 10G SFP+ fiber; each includes two combo interfaces. Both models are discontinued. The copper version suits existing RJ-45 server connections, while the fiber version suits an installed SFP+ fiber estate.

What is the difference between SG350XG-24T-K9-EU and SG350XG-48T-K9-EU?

SG350XG-48T-K9-EU has 48 copper 10GBASE-T ports, whereas SG350XG-24T-K9-EU has 24; both models are discontinued. The difference is connection density rather than copper link speed. The 24-port version fits smaller existing copper estates, while the 48-port version addresses larger connection requirements within the discontinued family.

What is the difference between SG350XG-24T-K9-EU and C1300-24XT?

C1300-24XT provides four shared 10G SFP+ connections, compared with two on SG350XG-24T-K9-EU. Both configurations have 24 copper 10GE connections, but their shared fiber choices differ. C1300-24XT is the current migration target; the discontinued SG350XG model serves legacy-estate continuity rather than purchases requiring an active Cisco product lifecycle.

What rack space and cooling does the Cisco SG350XG-24T require?

The Cisco SG350XG-24T requires a full-width 1U rack position and uses four fans rather than fanless cooling. The chassis measures 440 mm wide, 44 mm high, and 450 mm deep, and weighs 5.57 kg. Operation is specified from 0°C to 50°C, so verify rack support and ambient temperature before installation.
