Non-halogen lead-free construction separates it from the standard 3 m cable. This Catalyst 3750 stack cable serves rear StackWise ports and keeps a stack under one configuration and one IP address. Catalyst 2975 switches use dedicated stacking ports and special stacking cables. A full ring adds redundant StackWise cable connections; a half ring removes that redundancy and leaves the stack at half bandwidth after a cable break. The 3 m reach covers wider gaps than 0.5 m and 1 m StackWise cable options.

A full ring of n switches needs n cables; a chain of n switches needs n-1 cables. STACK-CAB-3M-NH carries data only and does not share power. StackWise elects a primary member, keeps remaining members in the stack, and presents the stack as one network entity. A single failed cable in a full ring leaves half bandwidth; a single failed cable in a half ring partitions the stack. Use approved StackWise cables only, because nonapproved cables or equipment can damage the switch. Port checks use StackWise port 1 and port 2 status.

STACK-CAB-3M-NH is the Cisco 3M Non-Halogen Lead Free Stacking Cable. It is a 3 m StackWise data stack cable for Catalyst 2975 and Catalyst 3750 stacks, and the NH segment marks the non-halogen lead-free version of the 3 m stacking cable.
STACK-CAB-3M-NH fits Catalyst 2975 and Catalyst 3750 StackWise stacks. Catalyst 3750-X uses the CAB-STACK cable family instead, with CAB-STACK-3M-NH as the 3 m non-halogen option. Equal length does not make the two cable families interchangeable, so match the PID before the PO.
Catalyst 2975 uses STACK-CAB-50CM, STACK-CAB-1M, STACK-CAB-3M and the NH versions for non-halogen builds. STACK-CAB-3M-NH is the 3 m non-halogen choice. The base switch ordering line also included a 50 cm stacking cable with the switch.
STACK-CAB-3M-NH uses StackWise with 32 Gbps stack bandwidth. StackWise presents stack members as one logical unit with one configuration and one IP address. The non-halogen lead-free cable material is the edge of this PID over the standard 3 m cable.
STACK-CAB-3M-NH count equals the number of switches for a full ring. A 4-member full ring needs 4 cables. A chain uses one fewer cable, so a 4-member chain needs 3 cables and has no redundant cable path.
STACK-CAB-3M-NH builds full-ring or half-ring StackWise cabling. A full ring gives redundant cable connections. A half ring has incomplete StackWise cabling, runs at half bandwidth, and a single cable failure partitions the stack into two stacks. Count the open ends.
