Nonhalogen lead-free construction is the edge over CAB-STACK-3M. The cable fits StackWise rear ports on Catalyst 3750-X and Catalyst 3750 family switches. Cisco Catalyst 3750 stack cable builds a full-ring data stack when every member has two StackWise links. The stack works as one switching unit with one IP address, one CLI and automatic version checking. StackWise Plus on Catalyst 3750-X gives 64 Gbps of throughput and stacks up to 9 switches; StackWise on Catalyst 3750 is rated at 32 Gbps.

64 Gbps of StackWise Plus throughput applies to Catalyst 3750-X stacks, and 32 Gbps of StackWise throughput applies to Catalyst 3750 stacks. 3 m length suits side-by-side racks, cross-rack paths and the long return link in a full ring. A full ring of 9 switches needs 9 data stack cables, and a chain needs 8 cables. Incomplete StackWise cabling gives half bandwidth and removes redundant connections. A working stack accepts member additions and removals without service interruption. CAB-STACK-3M-NH connects to StackWise ports marked STACK 1 and STACK 2 on the rear panel. Retainer screws tighten to 5 lbf-in. after the connector window is aligned.
CAB-STACK-3M-NH is offered new sealed and certified refurbished. Certified refurbished cables have connectors, pins, latches and housing inspected, then connect between two compatible switches with stack link up at the rated bandwidth. Cisco service ended on 30 April 2022, so ORM's warranty is the cover that applies. Confirm the 3 m route and count one cable per full-ring member. A stack link with a bad StackWise cable can leave the data stack at half bandwidth and without redundant connections. CAB-STACK-3M-NH supplies the 3 m nonhalogen run for that link. Inspect connectors and pins, then count one replacement cable for each failed link before the PO.
The buyer has Catalyst 3750-X members that cannot be reached by the supplied 0.5 m cable. CAB-STACK-3M-NH provides the 3 m nonhalogen StackWise run used in full-ring layouts. Measure the rear-panel path and order one cable for each long link before the PO.
Catalyst 3560-X data stacking
Catalyst 3560-X is a standalone switch in this generation and has no StackWise data stack. Do not use CAB-STACK-3M-NH for that chassis.

CAB-STACK-3M-NH fits Catalyst 3750-X StackWise ports and Catalyst 3750 family StackWise ports. Catalyst 3560-X is a standalone switch and does not take StackWise data stack cables. Match this cable to rear StackWise ports, not StackPower or XPS ports. The 3 m length does not change the port type.
A Catalyst 3750-X uses StackWise cables for data stacking: CAB-STACK-50CM, CAB-STACK-1M, CAB-STACK-3M, CAB-STACK-50CM-NH, CAB-STACK-1M-NH and CAB-STACK-3M-NH. Use the nonhalogen part where the cable material requirement applies. Use CAB-STACK-3M-NH for 3 m links. A full ring still needs one data stack cable per member.

A full ring of n switches needs n CAB-STACK-3M-NH cables only when every link requires 3 m. A chain of n switches needs n minus one cables and has no redundant StackWise connection. Measure the rear path before mixing 0.5 m, 1 m and 3 m lengths.
A CAB-STACK-3M-NH StackWise stack follows the Catalyst 3750 limit of 9 switches. A full-ring topology gives full bandwidth and redundant StackWise cable connections. Incomplete cabling or one bad StackWise link leaves the stack at half bandwidth and removes redundant connections.
Install CAB-STACK-3M-NH in the rear StackWise ports marked STACK 1 and STACK 2. Remove and keep the dust covers, align the connector window, and tighten each retainer screw to 5 lbf-in. Avoid repeated removal because repeated insertion shortens cable life.
CAB-STACK-3M-NH= is the spare ordering form for the same Cisco StackWise 3 m nonhalogen cable as CAB-STACK-3M-NH. The equals sign is an ordering suffix, not a different length or technology. Certified refurbished condition is an ORM condition, not the equals-sign form.
CAB-STACK-3M-NH adds the nonhalogen lead-free cable material; CAB-STACK-3M is the standard 3 m StackWise cable. Both are 3 m StackWise data stack cables for the same rear StackWise ports. Choose the NH part when the build calls for nonhalogen material.
CAB-STACK-3M-NH is the 3 m nonhalogen StackWise cable, and CAB-STACK-1M-NH is the 1 m nonhalogen StackWise cable. Both serve the same StackWise ports. Use the 3 m cable for longer return links, side-by-side layouts or cross-rack paths.
