64 Gbps of StackWise Plus throughput applies on Catalyst 3750-X and 3750-E members; 32 Gbps applies on StackWise 3750 members. Nine switches is the stack member limit, and a full ring needs nine cables for nine switches. Half-ring cabling uses one fewer cable and has no redundant StackWise path. CAB-STACK-3M uses copper-based StackWise cabling and the rear stack ports. Mixed hardware stacks can combine Catalyst 3750-X, 3750-E and 3750 switches, but LAN Base mixed stacks are not supported. Power off a switch that is added or removed as a member, then verify stack-port status after the ring is closed.
Order CAB-STACK-3M in new sealed or certified refurbished condition. Certified refurbished units are connected between two compatible switches; connectors, pins, latches and housing are inspected, and stack link up at the rated bandwidth is verified. Confirm the 3 m route and order one cable per switch for a full ring. Cisco service ended on 30 April 2022, so ORM's warranty is the cover that applies. An operations team maintaining Catalyst 3750-X or 3750 stacks after Cisco service ended needs a like-for-like cable for the existing StackWise ports. The buyer should count the installed members, keep one cable per member for a full ring, and measure the 3 m rear-panel route before the PO.
