When a rollout spans US and overseas sites, the catalog base number is not the complete regional order. SX350X-08-K9-NA serves the United States, while SX350X-08-K9-EU and SX350X-08-K9-UK select other regional versions. Specify each site's complete regional PID and power-cord requirement on the purchase order.
When separate workgroups must communicate across VLANs, routed-interface demand matters alongside the VLAN count. The 350X supports 4094 active VLANs but limits IPv4 addressing to 128 IP interfaces. Count VLANs needing local gateways separately from those carried only at Layer 2, then specify the interface plan before the PO.
When switches must be prepared before installation, two firmware images allow an alternate image to remain on the unit during upgrades. A front-panel USB Type A slot supports file and image handling, while configuration transfers can use SCP. Specify the approved image, saved configuration, and acceptance checks before releasing the staging order.

SX350X-08-K9 supplies data connectivity without PoE output. Access points, phones, or cameras requiring power from the switch need a PoE-capable model; this chassis cannot provide their power.
Dynamic routing protocol participation
SX350X-08-K9 supports static IPv4 and IPv6 routing rather than dynamic routing. Networks requiring automatic route exchange need a router or switch with that capability.
