When several branches need a repeatable configuration, text-editable configuration files and SCP transfer support a common staging workflow. The dedicated 1G out-of-band management connection provides a separate administration path. When inter-subnet traffic is moving onto the switch, interface scale needs checking alongside route count. The system supports 128 IPv4 interfaces, plus 245 IPv6 static routes and 106 IPv6 interfaces. When a lab or staging rack needs packet capture before production changes, port mirroring can direct traffic from eight source ports to one destination.
