160 Gbps switching capacity provides the internal fabric for traffic between access and uplink interfaces. 65.5 Mpps forwarding applies with two 10GbE uplinks installed, so that figure depends on the selected uplink configuration. 435W of shared PoE power requires endpoint allocations to remain within the supplied power configuration. OSPF, EIGRP, BGPv4 and IS-ISv4 support IPv4 routing, while OSPFv3 and EIGRPv6 extend routing to IPv6; PBR and PIM-SM/PIM-DM are also available. WS-C3560X-24P-E carries 256 MB of DRAM and 64 MB of flash for software operation and local storage. SDM template selection changes resource allocation: the 12000-entry MAC maximum uses the VLAN template, while the 11000-route maximum uses the routing template. Those maxima are not simultaneous settings. LACP aggregates Ethernet links, and RSTP/MSTP handles Layer 2 convergence. When an access replacement must retain switch-to-switch encryption and flow visibility, specify C3KX-SM-10G rather than treating every uplink module as functionally equivalent. The service module adds Flexible NetFlow and uplink MACsec, features that change the accessory line on the order. Identify the optical connection requirements before issuing the PO.
When a powered-endpoint rollout requires every access port to supply 30W simultaneously, the endpoint total is 24 × 30W = 720W. Full-port PoE+ requires one C3KX-PWR-1100WAC or two C3KX-PWR-715WAC supplies. Hardware stacking with a shared control plane
WS-C3560X-24P-E operates as a standalone chassis and cannot join a hardware switch stack. A purchase requirement for a single stacked control plane therefore exceeds this model's capability.

WS-C3560X-24P-E supports two 10G uplinks through compatible modules, not four. C9300L-24P-4X-A retains 24 powered access ports and supplies four fixed 10G uplinks.

WS-C3560X-24P-E means a standalone Catalyst 3560-X switch with 24 PoE+ ports and IP Services. WS-C3560X identifies the family, 24 identifies the port count, P identifies powered ports, and E identifies the feature set. The complete configuration includes C3KX-PWR-715WAC; uplink hardware is ordered separately.
WS-C3560X-24P-E is managed through the Cisco IOS CLI, console connections, SSH or Telnet, SNMP, a PC-based configuration tool and CiscoWorks LMS. USB and RJ-45 console interfaces support local access, while the Ethernet management interface provides an out-of-band path. SSH and encrypted SNMPv3 require a cryptographic software image.
Catalyst 3560-X uses Cisco IOS software activation for LAN Base, IP Base and IP Services. Upgrade paths include factory upgrades and paper or electronic upgrade licenses. WS-C3560X-24P-E includes IP Services. Software activation checks the installed license file at boot, so confirm the enabled feature set when ordering refurbished hardware.
WS-C3560X-24P-E provides a shared 435W PoE budget with C3KX-PWR-715WAC and supports 30W per powered port. Twenty-four simultaneous 30W endpoints require a different supply configuration.
