WS-C3560X-48PF-L identifies a standalone Catalyst 3560-X: WS-C3560X denotes the family, 48 denotes the Ethernet port count, PF selects the full-PoE configuration supplied with C3KX-PWR-1100WAC, and L selects LAN Base. The access ports support 10/100/1000 Mbps; the part number does not select an installed uplink module.
Catalyst 3560-X management uses the browser-based device manager, Cisco Network Assistant, Cisco IOS CLI, CiscoWorks LMS or SNMP. CLI access uses the console or Telnet; SSH requires a cryptographic image. Select the management path before staging and confirm the installed image supports the required secure access.

WS-C3560X-48PF-L provides a shared 800W PoE budget with its standard C3KX-PWR-1100WAC, and each PoE+ port supports 30W. Full 30W loading across all access ports requires additional supply capacity. WS-C3560X-48PF-L accepts C3KX-NM-1G for four 1G SFP uplinks, C3KX-NM-10G for two 10G SFP+ uplinks, or C3KX-NM-10GT for two 10GBASE-T uplinks. No uplink card is included in the base configuration. C3KX-NM-10G shares port pairs between 1G and 10G operation; specify compatible optics separately.
WS-C3560X-48PF-L has an 800W PoE budget, while WS-C3560X-48P-L has 435W. Both variants are discontinued. Select the higher-budget configuration for a greater aggregate endpoint load; the lower-budget configuration suits an installation whose powered devices remain within its allocation. Port quantity alone does not establish the required power budget.
WS-C3560X-48PF-L ships with LAN Base, while WS-C3560X-48PF-S ships with IP Base. IP Base adds routed access, including OSPF; LAN Base permits 16 static routes. Both variants are discontinued. LAN Base suits static-only routing requirements; the IP Base variant addresses an existing installation requiring that higher software entitlement.
C9300L-48PF-4X-E includes four fixed 10G uplinks, while WS-C3560X-48PF-L requires an optional modular uplink card. C9300L-48PF-4X-E completes the migration chain through the discontinued WS-C3650-48FD-L.
