The Cisco 12000 10-slot chassis is a high-performance core router platform featuring ten I/O module bays, dual DC power inputs, blower cooling and integrated alarm management for service provider and enterprise networks.
The dual-alarm subsystem continuously monitors temperature, fan, power and card status and generates fault alerts via front-panel LEDs and SNMP traps to ensure rapid fault detection and remediation.
The blower module provides front-to-back high-capacity airflow to maintain optimal operating temperatures for line cards and control processors, reducing the risk of thermal shutdowns.
Dual DC power supplies deliver redundant –48V DC power, enabling hot-swap replacement without service interruption and protecting against single-point power failures.
