C9200L-24P-4X-E is a managed Layer 3 Catalyst 9200L access switch for wiring closets that need 24 Gigabit copper downlinks with PoE+ and four fixed 10G SFP+ uplinks. The 24-port Gigabit PoE+ access switch with fixed 10G uplinks fits campus access, branch aggregation, IP phones, wireless access points, cameras and other powered endpoints where a rack-mount 1U form factor and Network Essentials feature set are required. The Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series fixed-uplink model uses fixed uplinks rather than a modular uplink bay, so optics and uplink speed decisions stay tied to the base hardware. C9200L-24T-4X-E is the closest non-PoE sibling when the same 10G uplink class is needed without powered copper ports.
C9200L-24P-4X-E price for new stock is $2,304.75, a 51.7% saving from the Cisco list price of $4,768.00. C9200L-24P-4X-E refurb price is $1,968.75. C9200L-24P-4X-E is in stock and available for next-day dispatch. (terms applied)

128 Gbps switching capacity and 95.23 Mpps forwarding support the fixed-downlink Catalyst 9200L design without adding a removable uplink module. 370W of PoE budget is available from the shipped PWR-C5-600WAC, and a PWR-C5-600WAC/2 raises available PoE power to 740W when the second supply bay is populated. Static routing, RIPv1, RIPv2, RIPng, OSPF for routed access, EIGRP Stub, PBR, VRRP and PIM Stub Multicast align with the Network Essentials tier, while full EIGRP and IS-IS require Network Advantage. C9200L-24P-4X-E includes 2 GB DRAM, 4 GB flash, 6 MB packet buffers, 16000 MAC addresses, 11000 total IPv4 routes and 512 SVIs. WebUI, CLI, Catalyst Center and Meraki dashboard operating modes give local and cloud management paths, while StackWise-80 stacks eight same-license C9200L members through C9200L-STACK-KIT.
C9200L-24P-4X-E is available from ORM Systems in new sealed and certified refurbished condition. Refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested, with firmware verified, configuration wiped to factory default, PoE output verified under load on every powered port, optics bay recognition, PSU status, fan status and clean boot. Include the condition, quantity, AC power-cord region, optics, and any C9200L-STACK-KIT or PWR-C5-600WAC/2 requirements on the PO. New units qualify for up to a 3-year extended warranty, certified refurbished units for up to 1 year, and every condition has 30-day returns with terms applying; PO is accepted, Net-30 is available for government, RMA includes advance replacement, and regional stock or RMA support covers UK, EU, US and MEA orders.

C9200L-24P-4X-E operates at the access edge and terminates copper runs from phones, workstations, cameras, printers, and access points on 24 Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ ports. Network teams assign VLANs, QoS policies, 802.1X authentication, and PoE limits at the closet, then forward aggregated traffic through four fixed 10G SFP+ uplinks. Network Essentials supplies Layer 2 switching, static routing, and routed access functions for smaller routing domains. The result is a powered endpoint edge with consistent access policy and enough uplink bandwidth for compact closet designs.
The switch sits between endpoint VLANs and the upstream distribution layer when a design places limited Layer 3 services at the access tier. C9200L-24P-4X-E forwards local subnets through static routes, RIP, EIGRP Stub, or OSPF routed access under the Network Essentials feature set, while the 24 PoE+ ports keep powered endpoints on the same access platform. Engineers reserve the four 10G SFP+ uplinks for routed links, trunks, or EtherChannel toward distribution. The result is reduced Layer 2 reach without moving small-site routing onto a separate device.
Several same-license Catalyst 9200L switches form a StackWise-80 block when one wiring closet needs more powered ports under a single operating point. C9200L-24P-4X-E contributes 24 PoE+ access ports and four fixed 10G SFP+ uplinks per member, while IOS XE presents the stack as one logical switch for configuration, monitoring, and change control. Teams standardize stack kits, power supply planning, uplink placement, and software release levels before expansion. The result is higher access density with simpler administration across repeated closet builds.
A closet refresh with phones, cameras and access points can standardize on 24 powered Gigabit drops and four 10G uplinks. Size the endpoint list against the 370W shipped PoE budget before the PO, then add PWR-C5-600WAC/2 where the planned load needs dual-supply PoE capacity.
A routed access edge that needs local SVIs and dynamic routing can use Network Essentials for static routes, RIP and OSPF routed access. Check the 512 SVI limit and 11000 total IPv4 route scale against the site design before selecting the license tier and subscription path.
An existing C9200L Network Essentials stack can add another fixed-uplink member when the stack remains within eight members. Specify C9200L-STACK-KIT for each added chassis, then match STACK-T4-50CM, STACK-T4-1M or STACK-T4-3M cable length to the rack layout.
Modular uplink cards
The uplinks are fixed and there is no modular uplink bay; C9200-24P-E keeps 24 PoE+ ports with modular uplinks.
Advanced routing protocols
Network Essentials limits routed access to OSPF up to 1000 routes and EIGRP Stub; C9200L-24P-4X-A carries Network Advantage for EIGRP and IS-IS.
Single-supply 740W PoE
The shipped PWR-C5-600WAC provides 370W PoE, not 740W; add PWR-C5-600WAC/2 or choose C9200L-48P-4X-E if 48 ports fit.
25G uplinks
The fixed uplinks are 10G SFP+; C9200L-24PXG-2Y-E provides 2x25G uplinks, but changes the access layout to 8xmGig and 16x1G PoE+ downlinks.

C9200L-24P-4X-E is the Catalyst 9200L 24-port PoE+ 4x10G uplink switch with Network Essentials. C9200L identifies the fixed-uplink Catalyst 9200L family, 24P identifies 24 PoE+ downlinks, 4X identifies four 10G uplinks, and E identifies the Network Essentials license tier.
C9200L-24P-4X-E is managed through WebUI, local console or SSH CLI, Catalyst Center, and the Meraki dashboard. The Network Stack entry uses CLI and WebUI, while Cisco Catalyst or Cisco DNA subscriptions add Catalyst Center or Meraki dashboard management options. Device-source cloud mode keeps configurations local.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for Catalyst 9200L. The C9200L-24P-4X-E hardware remains in the active Catalyst 9200L ordering family, while separate IOS XE release and license lifecycles do not retire the switch hardware. Older Catalyst 2960X hardware has a final support date of October 31, 2027.
ORM offers C9200L-24P-4X-E new sealed or certified refurbished with warranty separated from Cisco coverage. Cisco coverage is Enhanced Limited Lifetime for the platform; ORM adds up to a 3-year extended warranty on new units or up to 1 year on certified refurbished units, plus 30-day returns with terms applying.
C9200L-24P-4X-E includes Network Essentials as the perpetual Network Stack license, and a same-tier subscription is mandatory for new purchase. Buyers can choose Cisco Catalyst Essentials in 3-, 5-, or 7-year terms, Cisco DNA Essentials in 3-, 5-, or 7-year terms, or Cisco Switching Essentials through a 36-month minimum Cisco Networking Subscription.
C9200L-24P-4X-E follows the Catalyst 2960X 24-port PoE models with 10G SFP+ uplinks. The C9200L-24P-4X hardware is named as the replacement for C1-C2960X-24PD-L, C1-C2960X-24PD-L++, EDU-C2960X-24PD-L, WS-C2960X-24PD-BA, WS-C2960X-24PD-HC, WS-C2960X-24PD-L and WS-C2960X-24PD-L++.
C9200L-24P-4X-E provides 370W of PoE budget with the shipped PWR-C5-600WAC. A second PWR-C5-600WAC/2 raises available PoE power to 740W; 24 PoE+ ports at 30W each would total 720W, so the single-supply budget is shared across connected endpoints.
No, C9200L-24P-4X-E stacks only with other C9200L models at the same license level. StackWise-80 supports eight C9200L members through C9200L-STACK-KIT, and mixed stacking with modular C9200 models, Catalyst 2960-X switches or Catalyst 2960-XR switches is not supported.
C9200L-24P-4X-E delivers PoE+ on 24 downlinks, while C9200L-24T-4X-E is a 24-port data switch with the same four 10G uplink class. Choose C9200L-24P-4X-E when access points, phones or cameras need power; choose C9200L-24T-4X-E for unpowered copper endpoints.
C9200L-24P-4X-A carries Network Advantage, while C9200L-24P-4X-E carries Network Essentials. The Advantage tier adds advanced routing, segmentation, multicast, scale and security capabilities; the Essentials model fits routed-access designs limited to Network Essentials features and a lower subscription tier.
C9200L-24P-4X-E has four 10G uplinks, while C9200L-24P-4G-E has four 1G uplinks. Both are 24-port PoE+ fixed-uplink Network Essentials models; choose the 4X model for 10G distribution links and the 4G model where 1G uplinks are enough.
Catalyst 9200L does not use modular uplink network modules; C9200L uplinks are fixed. The C9200 models use C9200-NM-2Y, C9200-NM-2Q, C9200-NM-4G, C9200-NM-4X or C9200-NM-BLANK modules, so buyers needing swappable uplink cards should move to a C9200 PoE model rather than a C9200L fixed-uplink unit.
