The HP MSA 1040 (E7W03A) is an entry-level, dual-controller SAN featuring two native 10GbE iSCSI ports and large form factor (LFF) drive bays for data center environments.
The MSA 1040 supports 3.5-inch LFF SATA HDDs and SSDs, with optional SAS interposers for backward compatibility, enabling flexible performance and capacity configurations.
With the base enclosure and up to four expansion units per controller pair, the MSA 1040 scales to 1,024 TB of raw capacity using 12-drive increments.
Each MSA 1040 controller includes two 10 GbE iSCSI ports, delivering high-speed connectivity and load-balanced storage traffic.
