Cut-through forwarding delivers approximately 1 microsecond of port-to-port latency, while a 25 MB packet buffer is shared across each group of twelve 10G interfaces or three 40G interfaces. N6001P-4FEX-1G runs NX-OS, with console access and remote administration through SSHv2 or Telnet; SNMP and XML NETCONF support external monitoring and automation. LACP supports aggregated links, and MSTP provides spanning-tree control. These capabilities belong to the parent chassis: the fabric extenders expand server attachment without becoming independent managed switches.
N6001P-4FEX-1G is offered new sealed or certified refurbished; ORM's warranty is up to a 3-year extended term for new hardware and up to 1 year for certified refurbished hardware, with 30-day returns on every condition, terms apply. Refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on, POST, rated-speed port links, clean boot and optics bay recognition; firmware is verified and configurations are wiped to factory default. N6001P-4FEX-1G identifies a Nexus 6001P chassis bundled with four 1G fabric extenders and fabric extender transceivers. N6001P identifies the parent chassis, 4FEX identifies the extender quantity, and 1G identifies their attachment class. The suffix does not reduce the parent switch to Gigabit-only operation.
The Nexus 6001 supports console CLI, SSHv2, Telnet, SNMP and XML NETCONF management through in-band connections or its dedicated management interface.
