When replacing SF550X-24MP-K9-EU, which reached end of sale on June 18, 2020, separate a like-for-like maintenance purchase from a longer-term refresh. Check the existing configuration, connected devices and required service horizon before specifying the replacement quantity and condition on the purchase order.
When some endpoints need more power than ordinary PoE+ devices, account for the eight ports that support 60W output. Build an endpoint-by-endpoint load schedule rather than assuming every powered connection has the same allowance, and confirm port assignments and aggregate demand before ordering.
Manufacturer support beyond July 2027
Cisco support ends July 31, 2027. For a longer-term refresh, specify C1300-24FP-4X; the intermediate CBS350-24FP-4X-EU replacement is also discontinued.
