472 Gbps switching capacity defines the maximum switching bandwidth, while 460 Mpps forwarding at 64-byte packets provides the packet-rate figure for traffic assessment. 630W of shared PoE power is available with the standard supply, increasing to 1730W with two PWR-C1-1100WAC supplies; endpoint demand must remain within the selected configuration. WS-C3850-12X48UW-S identifies a Catalyst 3850 wireless bundle: WS-C3850 names the switch family, 12X identifies twelve multigigabit ports, 48 indicates the total access-port count, U means Cisco UPOE, W denotes five access point licenses, and S selects IP Base. Those twelve ports support 100Mbps through 10Gbps.
WS-C3850-12X48UW-S supports a web UI, Cisco IOS CLI, Cisco Network Assistant, Cisco Prime Infrastructure and optional Cisco DNA Center management. CLI access uses the RJ-45 or USB console, Telnet, or SSH with a cryptographic image.
