WS-C3850-12S-E identifies the Catalyst 3850 family, twelve Gigabit SFP ports and IP Services. WS-C3850 is the family prefix, 12 is the port count, S identifies the SFP configuration, and E selects IP Services. The base configuration includes PWR-C1-350WAC but no uplink module.
The Catalyst 3850 supports console CLI, remote CLI over SSH or Telnet, Cisco Prime Infrastructure and SNMP management. SSH and cryptographic SNMPv3 require the appropriate cryptographic software image.
