CBS110-8PP-D-EU combines fanless Layer 2 switching with eight 10/100/1000 RJ-45 ports in a desktop chassis. Four ports provide IEEE 802.3af PoE for IP phones, wireless access points or video surveillance endpoints; the remaining connections carry data without endpoint power. Business 110 serves small offices and workgroups that need basic Ethernet connectivity rather than a configurable access switch. All connections are copper, with no dedicated uplink ports, fiber cages or removable uplink cards. A connection to the upstream network therefore uses one of the same Ethernet ports as endpoint connections. CBS110-8T-D-EU removes PoE for installations where connected devices have their own power. The desktop enclosure accommodates installations that do not require a full-width rack chassis.

16 Gbps switching capacity supports nonblocking operation, while 11.9 Mpps specifies forwarding performance for 64-byte packets. 32W of shared PoE output must be allocated across the powered endpoints rather than treated as a per-port allowance. Four hardware queues apply 802.1p priorities using priority queuing and Weighted Round-Robin, while store-and-forward operation prevents damaged packets from being passed onward. CBS110-8PP-D-EU maintains an 8000-entry MAC table and shares a 2 Mbit packet buffer dynamically across all ports. Cisco Business 110 Series Unmanaged Switches select port speed and duplex automatically, without configuration. Jumbo frames reach 9216 bytes for networks using larger Ethernet frames. Energy Efficient Ethernet reduces energy consumption during quiet periods, and a Kensington lock slot supports physical security. 37.46W maximum consumption including PoE provides the upper load for power planning; the external AC adapter accepts 100–240V at 50–60 Hz.
Order CBS110-8PP-D-EU in new sealed or certified refurbished condition, specifying quantity and the EU regional variant on the purchase order. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, clean boot, every port linking at rated speed, PoE output under load on every powered port, and the supplied adapter delivering rated output. ORM Systems provides up to a 3-year extended warranty on new units, up to 1 year on certified refurbished units, and 30-day returns on every condition; terms apply, separately from Cisco's limited lifetime hardware warranty. Enterprise and volume orders can use accepted POs, Net-30 for government, and RMA with advance replacement.

When retiring a discontinued SG110D-08HP-EU or SF110D-08HP-EU, use the regional replacement relationship rather than ordering solely by port count. Both older models name this EU variant as their replacement. Match existing endpoint connections and retain the complete regional suffix on the purchase order.
For a rollout spanning offices in the European Economic Area, Switzerland or Turkey, the EU suffix identifies the applicable regional ordering variant. The same suffix also covers additional countries. Confirm every destination against its required regional variant before consolidating the switches into one purchase order.
When staging equipment before a site rollout, Category 5e or better cabling is the minimum Ethernet cable requirement. Automatic cable diagnostics help identify faults or shorts, while loop detection identifies accidental loops. Inspect the proposed patch leads and connection layout before finalizing the hardware purchase order.
More than four powered endpoints
CBS110-8PP-D-EU powers four endpoints. CBS110-16PP-EU increases that allowance to eight powered ports sharing 64W, with sixteen Ethernet ports and an internal AC supply in a larger enclosure.
Fiber connections to upstream equipment
CBS110-8PP-D-EU has no SFP cages. CBS110-24PP-EU provides two 1G SFP combo connections in a larger rack-mount chassis, with each fiber connection sharing a copper port.

CBS110-8PP-D-EU identifies a Business 110 unmanaged switch with eight Gigabit Ethernet ports, partial PoE and a desktop enclosure. CBS110 names the family, 8 denotes eight ports, PP denotes partial PoE, D denotes desktop, and EU is the regional ordering suffix covering the European Economic Area and additional countries.
Business 110 switches operate without configuration: connect power and Ethernet cables to start forwarding traffic. Port speed and duplex are selected automatically, and traffic prioritization runs automatically as well. Buyers should specify connected-device and cabling requirements rather than planning a switch configuration workflow.
CBS110-8PP-D-EU provides four IEEE 802.3af PoE ports sharing a 32W budget. The other four Ethernet ports do not supply endpoint power. Add the connected devices' power requirements before ordering, because the shared allowance is not a separate 32W allocation for every powered port.
CBS110-8PP-D-EU has no dedicated uplink ports or SFP cages; upstream connections use its Gigabit copper Ethernet ports. The chassis has no removable uplink-card bay. Specify copper cabling for the upstream connection and include that connection when assigning the available ports to attached devices.
CBS110-8PP-D-EU is a desktop switch, not a rack-mount model, with a 160 mm width, 129 mm depth and 30 mm height. Wall mounting is also supported. Allow space for the external power adapter and cable connections when selecting the installation location.
CBS110-8PP-D-EU uses an external AC adapter with a 100–240V, 50–60 Hz input range. Maximum consumption including PoE is 37.46W at 110V or 36.65W at 220V. The adapter is included, but replacement power accessories are not sold separately as spare parts.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for Business 110. The series remains available to order. Discontinuation milestones for older Small Business 110 products do not describe the Business 110 series, even when an older product names a Business 110 model as its replacement.
CBS110-8PP-D-EU replaces the discontinued SG110D-08HP-EU and SF110D-08HP-EU switches. SG110D-08HP-EU reached end of sale on October 30, 2021, while SF110D-08HP-EU reached end of sale on July 30, 2022. Match the older unit's regional suffix before specifying the replacement on a purchase order.
ORM Systems offers CBS110-8PP-D-EU new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty for new units and up to 1 year for refurbished units. Returns are 30 days on every condition; terms apply. Cisco's separate platform warranty is limited lifetime hardware coverage.
CBS110-8PP-D-EU supplies PoE on four ports, whereas CBS110-8T-D-EU supplies no PoE; both have eight Gigabit Ethernet ports. The powered model serves buyers connecting Ethernet-powered endpoints. The non-PoE model suits installations where all attached devices use their own power supplies and only data connections are required.
CBS110-8PP-D-EU uses an external AC adapter, whereas CBS110-16PP-EU has an internal AC power supply. The desktop model suits an installation that can accommodate a separate adapter. CBS110-16PP-EU suits buyers who want mains power connected directly to the switch rather than through an external adapter.
CBS110-24PP-EU adds two 1G SFP combo connections, while CBS110-8PP-D-EU has copper Ethernet connections only. Each SFP connection shares its port with a copper connection, so both cannot operate simultaneously. Choose the desktop model for copper-only connections; the larger rack-mount model accommodates fiber uplinks.
