CBS350-8S-E-2G-EU is a fanless, managed Layer 2+ desktop switch with eight Gigabit SFP access slots and two fixed Gigabit copper/SFP combo uplinks. Each combo connection supports one active medium at a time, allowing copper or fiber connectivity without adding a network module. The non-PoE configuration belongs to the Cisco Business 350 Series and serves small-office networks requiring fiber connections rather than a bank of copper endpoint ports. This 8-port Gigabit SFP switch uses an external power adapter. The discontinued CBS350-24S-4G-EU instead uses an internal supply and provides a larger fiber-port configuration, so the two models are not interchangeable chassis choices.

20 Gbps switching capacity provides nonblocking forwarding across the Gigabit interfaces. 14.88 Mpps forwarding performance applies to 64-byte packets. Static routing supports 990 routes, while RIP v2 and PBR provide additional traffic-control options without implying support for every dynamic routing protocol. CBS350-8S-E-2G-EU carries 512 MB of DRAM and 256 MB of flash for its managed switching functions. A dynamically shared 1.5 MB packet buffer serves the ports, and the MAC table accommodates 16000 entries. The switch supports 4094 simultaneous VLANs and 128 IP interfaces for segmentation planning. STP, RSTP, MSTP and LACP support loop control and link aggregation. Administrators can use browser configuration or command-line access, while SNMP supports monitoring integration. 11.9W worst-case system consumption informs power provisioning, and the 0°C to 50°C operating range sets the environmental boundary for placement.

When an existing SG350-10SFP-K9-EU requires replacement, CBS350-8S-E-2G-EU follows that older model's migration path. The older switch reached end of sale July 30, 2022, while its replacement is also discontinued. Match the installed optics, fiber connections and supplied power accessories before specifying the replacement order.
When several small-office sites need centralized administration, the embedded Cisco Business Dashboard probe avoids a separate probe appliance or virtual machine at each location. Prepare a site-by-site administration plan rather than leaving operator access decisions until installation. Specify management access, site credentials and staging requirements before placing the purchase order.
10G optical connections
The fixed interfaces are limited to Gigabit speeds. C1300-12XS provides twelve SFP+ ports, so moving to that alternative also changes the optical port count.
PoE delivery to copper endpoints
The copper interfaces do not deliver PoE. C1300-8P-E-2G provides eight copper access ports with PoE, replacing the fiber-first arrangement with copper endpoint connectivity.
Hardware stacking under one control plane
CBS350-8S-E-2G-EU does not support hardware stacking. Centralized administration through Cisco Business Dashboard does not combine separate units into a hardware stack or shared forwarding system.

MGBSX1 supports multimode fiber, while MGBLX1 supports single-mode fiber; both provide Gigabit connectivity. CBS350-8S-E-2G-EU supports static routing, RIP v2 and PBR, corresponding to Layer 2+ functionality. Static IPv4 routing supports 990 routes, and the switch supports 128 IP interfaces. Match the required routing functions explicitly before purchase rather than assuming a managed switch includes every dynamic routing protocol.
CBS350-8P-E-2G-EU supplies PoE through copper access ports, whereas CBS350-8S-E-2G-EU provides non-PoE fiber connectivity.
