When replacing discontinued IE-2000-8T67-B equipment, the replacement purchase can specify IE-3400H-8FT-E. The predecessor reached end of sale on March 5, 2021, and Cisco service ended March 31, 2026. Separate the successor hardware order from any request to renew service on the retired equipment.
When standardizing machinery connections across multiple sites, the copper run between the switch and each attached device must not exceed 100 meters. Cable schedules should include the installed route rather than only cabinet separation. Specify compliant cable lengths and confirm termination compatibility for each site before consolidating the PO.

IE-3400H denotes the industrial Heavy Duty family, 8 is the interface count, FT is the Fast Ethernet M12 configuration, and E identifies the included Network Essentials tier.
Catalyst IE3400 Heavy Duty switches support WebUI, console CLI, remote CLI over SSH or Telnet, Cisco Catalyst Center, Industrial Network Director, SNMP, and CIP management.
