SF300-24MP-K9 combines 24 Fast Ethernet PoE+ access ports with fixed Gigabit uplinks in a managed Layer 2+ switch for small-business networks. Two dedicated RJ-45 uplinks and two copper/SFP combo uplinks provide copper or fiber connections without an uplink expansion card. The rack-mount 1U chassis belongs to the Cisco 300 Series Switches and serves powered Ethernet endpoints alongside VLAN-segmented workgroups. Compared with the discontinued SF300-24PP-K9, the maximum-PoE configuration provides a larger shared endpoint power allocation at the same access-port density. Cisco SF300-24MP uses an internal universal AC supply rather than an external adapter. Active cooling distinguishes this chassis from the family's fanless models.

12.8 Gbps switching capacity accommodates the fixed access and uplink connections, while 9.52 Mpps forwarding performance applies to 64-byte packets. 375W of shared PoE power determines the aggregate endpoint allocation rather than guaranteeing the per-port maximum across every connection. Static IPv4 routing supports communication between VLANs, with 512 route entries available for the routing plan; dynamic route exchange is not provided. SF300-24MP-K9 carries 128 MB of CPU memory and 16 MB of flash for its management software and stored images. An 8 Mb packet buffer is dynamically shared across the ports rather than reserved separately for each interface. STP/RSTP/MSTP controls switching loops, and LACP forms aggregated links. SNMPv3 supports secure management exchanges, while port mirroring sends selected traffic to an analyzer connection. Access controls include DHCP snooping and Dynamic ARP Inspection, with Secure Core Technology protecting the handling of management and protocol traffic.
Choose SF300-24MP-K9 in new sealed or certified refurbished condition, and specify any MGBSX1 or MGBLX1 uplink optics on the PO. Refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested, with PoE output verified under load on every powered port, firmware verified, and configurations wiped to factory default. New units have up to a 3-year extended ORM warranty, certified refurbished units have up to 1 year, and every condition has 30-day returns; terms apply. For enterprise and volume orders, ORM accepts POs, offers Net-30 for government and RMA with advance replacement, and handles regional stock and RMA across the UK, EU, US and MEA.

When a site adds separate IP networks for workgroups, the interface layout must fit within 128 IP interfaces. Routing interfaces can use physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLAN interfaces or loopbacks. Map the required interface types and address plan before specifying the switch on the PO.
When several sites need matching configurations, text-editable configuration files can be transferred to another switch rather than recreated separately. The CLI supports privilege levels 1, 7 and 15, so staging should distinguish operator access from administrator access. Specify the approved configuration file and account privileges before ordering the rollout batch.
When a spare is staged before deployment, dual firmware images allow the loaded image pair to be checked during acceptance. Firmware transfers can use the browser, TFTP or SCP over SSH, with upgrades also initiated through the console. Specify the image pair and transfer method before the staging PO is released.
Gigabit connections for powered endpoints
SF300-24MP-K9 limits its 24 access ports to 10/100 Mbps. C1300-24FP-4G provides 24 Gigabit access ports and four dedicated 1G SFP uplinks.
Fanless hardware in occupied spaces
SF300-24MP-K9 has four cooling fans rather than a fanless chassis. Its acoustic output is 41.6 dB at 30°C and 53.9 dB at 50°C.

SF300-24MP-K9 identifies the maximum-PoE Fast Ethernet configuration of the 300 family: SF300 is the model family, 24 is the access-port count, and MP distinguishes the larger PoE allocation. The model provides PoE+, a 375W shared budget, two dedicated Gigabit copper uplinks and two Gigabit combo uplinks.
The Cisco 300 Series Switches support an HTTP/HTTPS web interface, Textview CLI through console, SSH or Telnet, and SNMP management. The family also supports Cisco Small Business FindIT Network and Cisco OnPlus integrations. Full-command and menu-based CLI operation are available, while SSH and HTTPS provide encrypted administrative access.
SF300-24MP-K9 is discontinued: North American sales ended October 4, 2018, and Cisco support ended October 31, 2023. Software maintenance ended October 4, 2019. The current successor in the replacement chain is C1300-24FP-4G; the intermediate SF350-24MP-K9-NA and CBS350-24FP-4G-NA models have also reached end of sale.
ORM offers SF300-24MP-K9 new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty for new units and up to 1 year for refurbished units. Every condition has 30-day returns; terms apply. Cisco's original limited lifetime hardware warranty and service ended October 31, 2023.
SF300-24MP-K9 provides 375W of shared PoE power across 24 PoE+ access ports, with a 30W per-port maximum. The 30W ceiling is not available simultaneously on every port because aggregate allocation is limited. Specify endpoint power requirements and account for concurrent demand before completing the purchase order.
SF300-24MP-K9 has four Gigabit uplinks: two dedicated RJ-45 ports and two copper/SFP combo ports. Each combo port activates either its copper connection or its SFP slot, not both. MGBSX1 provides multimode Gigabit fiber connectivity; MGBLX1 provides single-mode Gigabit fiber connectivity. These fixed uplinks do not provide 10G operation.
The Cisco 300 Series Switches support IPv4 static routing with 512 routes and 128 IP interfaces. SF300-24MP-K9 can route between VLANs using manually configured entries. Routing interfaces can use physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLANs or loopbacks; a deployment requiring dynamic route exchange needs a different routing solution.
SF300-24MP-K9 occupies 1U in a 19-inch rack and measures 440 mm wide, 44.45 mm high and 350 mm deep. The chassis weighs 5.08 kg and uses four cooling fans. Its operating temperature range is 0°C to 50°C; confirm the rack position and environmental conditions before issuing the PO.
SF300-24MP-K9 uses an internal universal AC supply accepting 100-240V at 50-60 Hz, rather than an external adapter. Worst-case consumption reaches 441W at 110V with PoE load; the corresponding 220V figure is 431W. Size the AC circuit and UPS for input consumption, not only the endpoint power allocation.
SF300-24MP-K9 has a 375W PoE+ budget, while SF300-24PP-K9 has a 180W PoE+ budget. Both configurations have 24 Fast Ethernet powered access ports and Gigabit uplinks, and both are discontinued. The maximum-PoE model addresses a larger aggregate endpoint allocation; the lower-budget sibling suits smaller powered-device totals.
SF300-48PP-K9 provides 48 Fast Ethernet PoE+ access ports, compared with 24 on SF300-24MP-K9. Both are discontinued models from the 300 family. The 48-port version addresses higher connection density, while the 24-port version suits a smaller access-port requirement; confirm the connection count rather than substituting by family name.
C1300-24FP-4G provides 24 Gigabit access ports where SF300-24MP-K9 provides 24 Fast Ethernet access ports. C1300-24FP-4G is the current successor reached through the discontinued SF350 and CBS350 generations. Retaining the older model addresses like-for-like legacy sparing; the current successor suits a purchase requiring Gigabit endpoint connections.
