SF300-24MP is a managed Layer 2+ switch with 24 Fast Ethernet PoE+ access ports and four fixed Gigabit uplinks. Two uplinks are dedicated copper interfaces; the other two are copper/SFP combo interfaces, with one active medium per interface. The full-width 1U chassis belongs to the Cisco Small Business 300 family and connects powered voice, wireless and IP surveillance endpoints. Access connections operate at 10/100 Mbps, so endpoint bandwidth requirements matter independently of uplink speed. The discontinued SF300-24PP sibling carries a smaller 180W endpoint-power allocation. This 24-port Fast Ethernet PoE+ switch fits like-for-like replacement purchases where the existing access speeds remain sufficient; it does not provide Gigabit connectivity on its powered access ports.

A 375W shared PoE budget supplies connected devices, subject to a 30W maximum per PoE+ port; aggregate endpoint demand must remain within that allocation. SF300-24MP identifies a 300-series Fast Ethernet model: SF300 names the family, 24 indicates the access-port count, and MP identifies the 375W PoE+ configuration. The base hardware order identifier is SF300-24MP-K9. Regional versions add a regional suffix, so match the complete ordering identifier and power-cord region before approving the PO.
SF300-24MP supports a web GUI, full or menu-based Textview CLI, console access, SSH and SNMP. The Small Business 300 family also includes FindIT Network and OnPlus integration, plus a Telnet client. Specify the intended local management method, administrative credentials and configuration requirements before staging the delivered hardware.
SF300-24MP North American versions reached end of sale October 4, 2018, and the last date of Cisco support October 31, 2023. The direct replacement, SF350-24MP-K9-NA, is discontinued. The chain continued through the discontinued CBS350-24FP-4G-NA and now ends at C1300-24FP-4G; Cisco service for the original switch has ended.

SF300-24MP provides a shared 375W PoE budget across 24 powered access ports, with a maximum of 30W per PoE+ port or 15.4W per PoE port. Aggregate demand remains subject to the shared allocation. Add the endpoint power requirements together rather than assuming every powered port can supply its maximum simultaneously.
SF300-24MP has four 1G uplinks: two dedicated copper ports and two copper/SFP combo interfaces. Each combo interface uses either copper or fiber, not both simultaneously. MGBSX1 supports multimode fiber and MGBLX1 supports single-mode fiber; specify the compatible transceivers separately when ordering fiber connections for the installed link.
Small Business 300 switches support static IPv4 routing between VLANs, with 512 static routes and 128 IP interfaces. SF300-24MP is therefore Layer 2+ under a static-routing classification. Configure the required interfaces and next hops explicitly, and verify the existing addressing plan before using the replacement to carry routed traffic.
SF300-24MP supplies a 375W shared PoE budget, while SF300-24PP supplies 180W. Both models are discontinued. For an existing installation, the MP version accommodates a higher aggregate endpoint-power requirement; the PP version fits a load within its smaller allocation. Select between them using combined endpoint demand, not the number of powered connectors alone.
SF300-24MP uses an internal AC power supply, while SF302-08MPP uses an external AC adapter. Both models are discontinued. The former fits replacements that retain mains conversion inside the rack chassis; the latter fits existing compact installations organized around a separate adapter. Match the power arrangement and supplied components when specifying spare hardware.
C1300-24FP-4G provides 24 Gigabit access ports, whereas SF300-24MP provides 24 Fast Ethernet access ports. C1300-24FP-4G is the current endpoint of the replacement chain. The older model fits like-for-like sparing where existing access speeds remain sufficient; the Catalyst model fits a refresh requiring Gigabit connectivity at every access endpoint.
