SRW224G4P-K9 provides managed Fast Ethernet PoE access for small-business networks retaining 10/100 endpoints. Its 24 powered RJ-45 access ports connect compatible phones, cameras, and wireless devices, while four fixed Gigabit uplinks carry upstream traffic. Two uplinks are dedicated copper ports; two are combo interfaces with shared copper and SFP connections, so each combo pair uses one medium at a time. The Cisco SF300-24P supports static IPv4 routing alongside Layer 2 switching, placing the configuration in Layer 2+ rather than a dynamic-routing role. A full-width, 1U chassis occupies one rack position. Within the Small Business 300 family, the discontinued SRW224G4-K9 is the corresponding non-PoE sibling for installations where endpoints receive power separately.

12.8 Gbps switching capacity provides the aggregate throughput reference for the fixed interfaces. 9.52 Mpps forwarding applies to 64-byte packets, giving a packet-rate reference separate from bandwidth. 180W of shared PoE power covers the combined allocations of connected powered devices, rather than an independent allocation for each port. Static IPv4 routing accommodates 512 routes; the routing feature set does not include dynamic route exchange. SRW224G4P-K9 carries 128 MB of DRAM and 16 MB of flash for its embedded switching software and stored configuration. An 8 Mb packet buffer is shared dynamically across the ports. STP, RSTP, and MSTP manage Layer 2 topology, while LACP combines links into port groups. Administrators can configure the Cisco 300 Series switch through its browser interface or command-line interface and integrate monitoring through SNMP. Two fans provide active cooling, so the chassis is not fanless.
Order SRW224G4P-K9 in new sealed or certified refurbished condition, specifying quantity and fulfillment region on the purchase order. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on, POST, rated-speed links, and a clean boot; PoE output is verified under load on every powered port, and firmware is verified before configurations are wiped to factory default. New units carry ORM warranty of up to a 3-year extended term, certified refurbished units up to 1 year; every condition has 30-day returns, terms apply, and Cisco service has ended. POs are accepted, government orders receive Net-30, and volume requirements can include UK, EU, US, and MEA stock with RMA and advance replacement.

When a purchase adds PoE phones or cameras with different power requirements, the 15.4W ceiling on an individual powered port is the first compatibility check. Obtain each endpoint's requested allocation, account for concurrent demand, and attach the endpoint power schedule to the purchase order.
A branch plan that moves IPv4 gateway interfaces onto the access switch needs an interface inventory before hardware selection. The device supports 128 IP interfaces, so include VLAN gateways and other required Layer 3 interfaces in that inventory, then specify the intended configuration before the purchase order.
When an additional switch is ordered for traffic inspection or configuration validation, port mirroring permits eight source ports to feed one destination port in a single session. Identify the analyzer connection and source ports in advance, and include the capture arrangement in the staging requirements accompanying the purchase order.
Gigabit speeds at endpoint ports
The 24 access ports support 10/100 Mbps, not Gigabit Ethernet. The separate Gigabit uplinks do not increase the native speed of those endpoint connections.
30W power at each endpoint
Powered access ports deliver a maximum of 15.4W each. Devices requiring 30W PoE+ cannot receive that allocation from this model, regardless of unused shared power.
10G connections to distribution
The fixed uplink connections reach 1G, and the chassis has no removable uplink expansion card. A 10G distribution connection exceeds this model's uplink capability.

SRW224G4P-K9 identifies the SF300-24P configuration: 24 Fast Ethernet PoE access ports and four Gigabit uplinks. The 24 designation matches the access-port count, G4 matches the Gigabit-link count, and P identifies powered access ports. The uplinks comprise two dedicated copper connections and two copper/SFP combo connections.
SRW224G4P-K9 supports an HTTP/HTTPS web interface, full and menu-based CLI access through the console or SSH/Telnet, and SNMP versions 1, 2c, and 3. These paths support local configuration and network monitoring. Legacy integrations include Cisco Small Business FindIT Network and Cisco OnPlus; they should not be treated as current cloud-service commitments.
SRW224G4P-K9 provides a shared 180W PoE budget across 24 powered access ports, with a maximum of 15.4W per port. All 24 ports cannot receive their individual maximum simultaneously because 24 x 15.4W equals 369.6W. Endpoint allocations must remain within the shared budget, and this model does not supply 30W PoE+.
The Cisco SF300-24P has four Gigabit uplink connections: two dedicated 10/100/1000 copper ports and two copper/SFP combo ports. Each combo connection activates either its copper interface or its SFP interface, not both simultaneously. The uplinks are fixed, so no removable network module is needed to provide these connections.
SRW224G4P-K9 supports static IPv4 routing, with 512 static routes and 128 IP interfaces. This permits configured routing between IP networks without a dynamic-routing feature set. Under the page's capability classification, static routing makes this a Layer 2+ switch; the route capacity is separate from the number of supported interfaces.
SRW224G4P-K9 uses an internal universal AC power supply accepting 100-240V AC, rather than an external desktop adapter. Its maximum power consumption with PoE is 223W. The power supply arrangement does not provide an optional second internal redundant supply, so the purchase order should not include a redundant PSU module for this chassis.
The Cisco SF300-24P is a full-width, 1U rack switch measuring 440 mm wide, 44.45 mm high, and 257 mm deep. Its weight is 3.73 kg. These chassis measurements distinguish it from the narrower desktop members of the family and should be included when checking rack space and installation clearance.
SRW224G4P-K9 is discontinued: Cisco's end-of-sale date was April 27, 2015, and its last date of support was April 30, 2020. Cisco service has ended. An existing unit therefore belongs in a legacy-hardware purchase, not a procurement plan that requires active Cisco software maintenance or continuing manufacturer support.
SRW224G4P-K9 supplies PoE on its 24 Fast Ethernet access ports, whereas SRW224G4-K9 does not supply endpoint power. Both configurations have four Gigabit uplink connections. Both models are discontinued. For legacy matching, the powered configuration fits Ethernet-powered endpoints, while the non-PoE configuration fits endpoints that already have a separate power source.
SRW224G4P-K9 has 24 Fast Ethernet PoE access ports, while SRW248G4P-K9 has 48, doubling the access-port density. Both retain four Gigabit uplink connections and are discontinued models. In a legacy installation, the 24-port configuration suits a smaller endpoint inventory; the 48-port configuration accommodates more endpoints in one chassis.
SF300-24PP-K9-NA was the North American replacement for SRW224G4P-K9, and that replacement is also discontinued. The subsequent migration went through the discontinued SF350-24P-K9-NA to CBS350-24P-4G-NA. These are successive historical replacements, not interchangeable regional names for the original switch or a statement that every replacement remains available.
ORM offers SRW224G4P-K9 new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty for new units and up to 1 year for refurbished units. Every condition has 30-day returns; terms apply. Refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested. Cisco's original limited lifetime hardware warranty is separate; Cisco service ended April 30, 2020.
