16 Gbps switching capacity handles the internal switching path. 6.5 Mpps forwarding applies to 64-byte packets. WS-C2918-24TC-C provides 64 MB of DRAM, 32 MB of flash and capacity for 8000 MAC entries. LACP supports link aggregation, while STP provides loop control. The Catalyst 2918-24TC-C uses fan cooling, so installation must preserve ventilation clearance.

Confirm administrator acceptance of that language and the existing configuration workflow before issuing a multisite PO.
When replacing hardware without renewing branch cabling, qualify the retained runs before allocating installation labor. Copper connections have a 100 m endpoint-distance limit, and 100BASE-TX requires Category 5 or better cabling. Check run lengths, termination condition and negotiation settings before specifying installation scope.
Gigabit connectivity on every access port
WS-C2918-24TC-C limits its 24 access ports to 10/100 Mbps. Gigabit connectivity is available through the two uplinks, not across the endpoint ports.

WS-C2918-24TC-C identifies a Catalyst 2918 configuration with 24 Fast Ethernet access ports and two dual-purpose Gigabit uplinks. WS-C2918 identifies the family, 24 gives the access-port count, and TC corresponds to the copper-or-SFP uplink arrangement in a fixed 1U chassis.
Catalyst 2918 management uses the Device Manager web UI, Cisco IOS CLI through the console or remote Telnet and SSHv2, CiscoView, and SNMP. CiscoView is purchased separately. The graphical interface uses Simplified Chinese, which should match the intended administration workflow.
WS-C2918-24TC-C is discontinued. End of sale was October 22, 2015, and Cisco support ended October 31, 2020. Both milestones are past, so purchases require service arrangements independent of active Cisco support.
