SG350-28MP-K9-NA is a managed Gigabit PoE+ switch with 24 copper access ports, two dedicated 1G SFP uplinks and two 1G copper/SFP combo uplinks. The Layer 2+ chassis occupies 1U and belongs to the Cisco 350 Series Managed Switches. Its fixed connections serve business voice, wireless and security endpoints without requiring a removable uplink card. The discontinued SG350-28P-K9-NA sibling has a smaller 195W endpoint-power allocation. Within the Cisco Small Business line, this configuration combines powered access connections with a choice of copper or fiber uplink media; each combo connection uses one medium at a time.

56 Gbps switching capacity accommodates the built-in Gigabit connections, while 41.66 Mpps forwarding applies to 64-byte packets. 382W of shared PoE power requires allocation across the connected endpoints rather than simultaneous maximum output from every powered port. Static IPv4 routing supports 990 routes and 128 IP interfaces, with PBR available for selected next-hop policies. STP/RSTP/MSTP provide loop-control options, and LACP supports grouped Ethernet connections. SG350-28MP-K9-NA carries 512 MB of DRAM and 256 MB of flash for its embedded software and configuration. A 1.5 MB packet buffer is dynamically shared across the ports. Two cooling fans make this an actively cooled chassis, not a fanless unit. The standalone design does not provide hardware stacking.
ORM Systems offers SG350-28MP-K9-NA new sealed or certified refurbished; refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, rated-speed links on every port, clean boot, PoE output under load on every powered port, optics bay recognition, PSU status and fan status, with firmware verified and configuration wiped to factory default. Specify this switch's condition, quantity and required accessories on the PO. New units carry up to 3-year extended coverage, certified refurbished units carry up to 1 year, and every condition has 30-day returns; terms apply. For enterprise and volume orders, POs are accepted, government buyers have Net-30 terms, and RMA includes advance replacement.

When a site adds higher-draw powered endpoints, the SG350-28MP configuration offers four ports supporting 60W, with the other powered ports limited to 30W. Map each endpoint to its intended outlet and prepare a simultaneous-load schedule; specify the required power allocation before issuing the PO.
When an existing installation needs a staged software change, dual firmware images provide separate image storage during the upgrade process. Prepare the intended image and configuration files, define the boot selection and acceptance checks, and specify the staging requirements before releasing the hardware purchase order.
When several locations need the same configuration baseline, text-editable configuration files support preparing settings before loading them onto each managed unit. Establish the site-specific addresses, port assignments and credentials separately, then specify the configuration file and acceptance checks for each shipment on the purchase order.
10G uplinks to distribution
SG350-28MP-K9-NA has fixed 1G uplinks, not 10G connections. C1300-24FP-4X offers 24 Gigabit powered access ports with four 10G SFP+ uplinks.
A completely fanless equipment installation
SG350-28MP-K9-NA uses two cooling fans rather than passive cooling. Installations that prohibit fan-driven equipment cannot accept this chassis under a fanless-only equipment requirement.
Cisco service beyond October 2026
Cisco service for SG350-28MP-K9-NA ends October 31, 2026. Specify C1300-24FP-4G for the current replacement rather than the discontinued intermediate CBS350 model.

SG350-28MP-K9-NA identifies a 350-family Gigabit managed switch with 28 connections and the higher-power PoE configuration. Those connections comprise 24 access ports and four uplinks. MP corresponds to the 382W configuration; NA selects the Americas regional variant. K9 remains part of the complete ordering identifier.
SG350-28MP-K9-NA supports an HTTP/HTTPS web interface, full or menu-based CLI through the console, SSH or Telnet, and SNMP. Network-level management includes Smart Network Application, with FindIT Network Manager and Active Advisor integration options. Specify the intended management method, access restrictions and credentials during staging.
SG350-28MP-K9-NA reached end of sale on October 30, 2021, and its last date of support is October 31, 2026. The software-maintenance milestone was October 30, 2022. Treat new sealed inventory as discontinued hardware and align the purchase with the intended replacement schedule.
ORM Systems offers SG350-28MP-K9-NA new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to 3-year extended coverage for new units and up to 1 year for refurbished units. Returns are 30 days in either condition; terms apply. Cisco's original limited lifetime warranty is bounded by the October 31, 2026 last date of support.
SG350-28MP-K9-NA replaces SG300-28MP-K9-NA, the discontinued 28-port Gigabit Max-PoE managed switch. A replacement purchase should identify the required connections, endpoint loads and uplink media rather than assuming every accessory or configuration transfers unchanged. Specify the complete regional identifier and the required condition on the purchase order.
The SG350-28MP configuration shares 382W across 24 powered access ports; four support 60W and the other 20 support 30W. Those individual port maxima are not simultaneously available across every powered connection. Prepare a powered-device inventory and check simultaneous allocated loads before specifying the final endpoint mix.
The 350 managed switch provides two dedicated 1G SFP uplinks and two 1G copper/SFP combo uplinks in this configuration. Each combo uses copper or SFP, not both simultaneously. Select MGBSX1 for multimode fiber or MGBLX1 for single-mode fiber, and match the transceivers to the intended links.
SG350-28MP-K9-NA provides a 382W PoE allocation, compared with 195W on SG350-28P-K9-NA. Both models are discontinued. The MP configuration suits a larger allocated endpoint load within an existing installation; the P configuration suits a lower-load like-for-like replacement where its available power meets the powered-device inventory.
SG350-52MP-K9-NA provides 48 Gigabit access ports, while SG350-28MP-K9-NA provides 24. Both are discontinued models. The larger chassis suits a denser like-for-like replacement requirement; the smaller configuration suits a port plan that fits its existing connection count without consolidating additional endpoints into the same unit.
C1300-24FP-4G provides four dedicated 1G SFP uplinks, whereas SG350-28MP-K9-NA provides two dedicated SFP uplinks and two copper/SFP combo uplinks. The replacement chain passes through the discontinued CBS350-24FP-4G-NA. The SG model suits like-for-like sparing; the current Catalyst configuration suits a refresh requiring independent fiber uplink cages.
