SG350-28SFP-K9 is a fiber-focused, managed Layer 2+ switch with 24 Gigabit SFP access slots and four fixed Gigabit uplink positions: two dedicated SFP slots and two copper/SFP combo ports. The 1U rack-mount chassis belongs to the Cisco 350 Series and serves small-business networks connecting fiber-fed equipment rather than powered copper endpoints. Cisco SG350-28SFP provides static inter-VLAN routing alongside switching controls for segmented networks. Each combo position supports either its copper connection or its optical connection, not both simultaneously. The discontinued SG350-28MP-K9-NA differs materially by providing copper PoE+ access connections instead of fiber access slots, so matching the connector layout matters when specifying an existing installation's spare.
SG350-28SFP-K9 price for new stock is $704.55, a 32.6% saving from the Cisco list price of $1,045.00. SG350-28SFP-K9 refurb price is $929.46. SG350-28SFP-K9 is in stock and available for next-day dispatch. (terms applied)

56 Gbps switching capacity supports nonblocking forwarding across the available interfaces. 41.66 Mpps forwarding performance describes handling of minimum-size, 64-byte packets rather than a separate bandwidth rating. 990 static IPv4 routes support configured paths between network segments, with 128 IP interfaces available for the addressing plan. PBR can select a next hop using IPv4 or IPv6 access-control criteria. SG350-28SFP-K9 combines 512 MB of memory with 256 MB of flash for its control software and stored images. A dynamically shared 1.5 MB packet buffer accommodates traffic across the ports, while the MAC table holds 16000 entries for learned devices. STP, RSTP and MSTP provide spanning-tree controls; LACP supports aggregated connections where multiple physical links are required. DHCP snooping, IP Source Guard and Dynamic ARP Inspection address unauthorized address assignment and address spoofing. Cooling uses one fan, so cabinet placement must accommodate an actively cooled unit rather than assume silent, fanless operation.
SG350-28SFP-K9 is offered new sealed or certified refurbished, with ORM warranties of up to a 3-year extended term for new units and up to 1 year for refurbished units, plus 30-day returns on every condition; terms apply. Cisco's separate limited lifetime hardware warranty remains entitlement-dependent and cannot extend beyond July 31, 2027. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on, POST, rated-speed port links, clean boot, optics bay recognition, PSU status and fan status, with firmware verified and configurations wiped to factory default. Specify condition, quantities, regional power requirements and optical transceiver PIDs on the PO; enterprise and volume orders can use PO acceptance, Net-30 for government, and RMA with advance replacement across UK, EU, US and MEA regions.

An installation standardized on the discontinued SG300-28SFP-K9-NA creates a replacement requirement centered on existing fiber connections. Retain the optical-link inventory and configuration requirements with the hardware request rather than assuming that connector count alone establishes compatibility, and specify the required regional ordering form before the PO.
A multi-site purchase that needs repeatable configuration can use text-editable configuration files and secure autoconfiguration through SCP. Prepare the common settings separately from site-specific addressing, then stage the file-transfer process on a representative unit before ordering the remaining switches and assigning site quantities.
A lab or staging purchase that must retain a fallback software image can use the dual-image capability. The front USB Type-A connection and console interface support local file handling and setup, so identify the approved image and required staging connections before releasing the hardware PO.
10G fiber uplinks
The fixed optical interfaces operate at 1Gbps, so SFP+ transceivers cannot create a 10Gbps uplink. No removable uplink card adds faster connections to this model.
PoE-powered phones or access points
The copper interfaces do not supply PoE, and the fiber access slots cannot power endpoints. Specify separate endpoint power or different switching hardware when powered Ethernet connections are required.

SG350 identifies the Gigabit 350 family, 28 denotes the total logical port count, and SFP identifies the fiber-focused configuration of SG350-28SFP-K9. The US ordering form is SG350-28SFP-K9-NA; K9 remains within the base identifier, while NA selects the North American regional form.
SG350-28SFP-K9 supports HTTP/HTTPS web management, Textview CLI through console, SSH or Telnet, SNMP, Smart Network Application, FindIT Network Manager and Cisco Active Advisor integration. SNMP versions 1, 2c and 3 are supported. Select the management interfaces and associated tooling before preparing the configuration.
SG350-28SFP-K9 is discontinued: end of sale was July 30, 2022, and Cisco's last date of support is July 31, 2027. Software maintenance releases ended July 30, 2023, so retaining this hardware requires lifecycle planning rather than an assumption of continuing routine software maintenance.
ORM Systems offers SG350-28SFP-K9 new sealed with up to a 3-year extended warranty, or certified refurbished with up to 1 year. Both conditions have 30-day returns; terms apply. Cisco's separate limited lifetime hardware warranty is entitlement-dependent and cannot extend beyond July 31, 2027.
SG350-28SFP-K9 replaces the discontinued SG300-28SFP configurations through corresponding regional forms: SG300-28SFP-K9-AU, SG300-28SFP-K9-EU, SG300-28SFP-K9-NA and SG300-28SFP-K9-UK. Those older models reached end of sale on October 4, 2018. Match the destination region and optical-link requirements when specifying replacement hardware rather than relying on the family number alone.
SG350-28SFP-K9 provides 26 dedicated Gigabit SFP slots and two Gigabit copper/SFP combo positions, for 28 simultaneously usable connections. The two copper sockets share their connections with the corresponding SFP cages. Using copper at a combo position prevents simultaneous use of that position's fiber connection.
The Cisco 350 fiber switch supports MGBSX1 for multimode fiber, plus MGBLX1 and MGBLH1 for single-mode fiber. Their respective maximum distances are 500 m, 10 km and 40 km. Specify the transceiver PID together with the fiber type, link distance and opposite-end optical interface.
Yes, SG350-28SFP-K9 supports static inter-VLAN routing, with 990 static IPv4 routes and 128 IP interfaces. PBR provides additional next-hop selection using IPv4 or IPv6 access-control criteria. This is Layer 2+ functionality for configured routing paths, rather than a basis for assuming an unsupported dynamic-routing feature set.
Cisco SG350-28SFP occupies 1U in a standard rack and measures 440 mm wide, 44 mm high and 203 mm deep. The unit weighs 2.7 kg. Include the mounting hardware in the order configuration, and allow additional space for optical connectors, fiber routing and power-cord access.
SG350-28SFP-K9 uses a fixed internal AC power supply accepting 100-240V AC, without a redundant internal supply option. Maximum system consumption reaches 34.3W at 220V. Specify the regional power connection with the order, and account for the single supply when planning power protection and spares.
SG350-28SFP-K9 provides fiber access without PoE, whereas SG350-28MP-K9-NA provides 24 copper PoE+ access ports with a shared 382W budget. Fiber-fed installations align with the former; powered copper endpoint installations align with the latter. Both models are discontinued, so this distinction is for matching existing equipment requirements.
SG350-28SFP-K9 has an internal AC supply, while SG350-10SFP-K9-NA uses an external adapter. The smaller model also has eight dedicated SFP access slots rather than 24. Existing compact fiber installations align with the external-adapter model; larger fiber installations align with SG350-28SFP-K9. Both models are discontinued.
SG350-28SFP-K9 has fixed 1G uplinks, whereas SG350-8PD-K9-NA includes two combo uplink positions supporting 10G SFP+ connections. The latter is a smaller copper-access configuration rather than a like-for-like fiber replacement. Existing fiber-density requirements and faster-uplink requirements therefore point to different hardware layouts; both models are discontinued.
CBS350-24S-4G-NA replaced the North American SG350-28SFP-K9 configuration, but that replacement is also discontinued, with end of sale on May 30, 2024. No current direct migration product is available for that replacement. Treat the chain as lifecycle history, not an instruction to order a current successor.
