OSPFv2, OSPFv3, EIGRP, EIGRPv6, IS-ISv4, BGPv4, and BGPv6 support dynamic routing, while PIM-SM, PIM-SSM, and PIM-BIDIR provide multicast routing options. C9500-16X-A uses UADP 2.0 with 16 GB DRAM for runtime operation and 16 GB flash for local software storage. MAC address capacity reaches 64000 entries, subject to the selected SDM allocation. IPv4 subnet routing reaches 64000 indirect routes, with prefix combinations affecting usable table capacity. MACsec provides 256-bit AES-GCM encryption, but WAN MACsec is not supported. StackWise Virtual supports multichassis EtherChannel and stateful switchover.
