Flexible resource templates allocate forwarding-table resources between workloads; the 64000-entry MAC ceiling bounds Layer 2 scale, while host and indirect route limits remain separate, template-dependent constraints. Across the Catalyst 9000 family, Cisco IOS XE provides command-line administration, while the embedded WebUI supports browser-based provisioning and troubleshooting.
