WS-C3750-48TS-E is a Layer 3 enterprise access switch with 48 10/100 Mbps RJ-45 ports and four fixed 1G SFP uplinks. The non-PoE, 1U rack-mount Catalyst 3750 runs IP Services for routed access where endpoints use their own power sources. Discontinued WS-C3750-48PS-E differs by providing PoE rather than data-only access ports. VLAN trunks, LACP link aggregation and separate voice VLAN configuration provide connection options when reproducing an existing access design. Port-based security and DHCP Snooping also support access control within that configuration, without changing the installed network software tier.

32 Gbps switching capacity defines the fabric ceiling for traffic sizing, while 13.1 Mpps forwarding provides the separate packet-processing limit. OSPF, EIGRP, BGPv4 and IS-ISv4 support dynamic routing; PBR controls flow redirection, and PIM-SM/PIM-DM provide multicast routing. WS-C3750-48TS-E carries 128 MB DRAM and 16 MB flash for running software and the stored image. Configurable resources reach 12000 MAC entries and 11000 unicast routes, with Switching Database Manager templates allocating resources to access, routing or VLAN requirements. The Cisco Catalyst 3750 Series provides Cisco IOS CLI administration through the console and Telnet, with SSH requiring a cryptographic image; web-based Cisco Network Assistant and CiscoWorks support networkwide management. 66W measured consumption at full throughput provides an operating-load reference for electrical planning rather than the internal supply's rating. Access-interface bridging and routing frames are limited to 1546 bytes, so larger-frame requirements need separate validation.
ORM Systems supplies WS-C3750-48TS-E new sealed with up to a 3-year extended warranty or certified refurbished with up to a 1-year warranty; every condition includes 30-day returns, terms apply, while Cisco's original limited lifetime warranty and service ended July 31, 2015. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on, POST, rated-speed links on every port, clean boot, optics bay recognition, stack adapter negotiation and PSU status, with firmware verified and configuration wiped to factory default. Specify the condition, quantity and accessories on the PO, including RCKMNT-1RU= when replacement rack hardware is needed. POs are accepted, government buyers receive Net-30, and enterprise or volume orders can use RMA with advance replacement across the UK, EU, US and MEA stock and RMA regions.

When an existing routed access configuration must be reproduced without changing its interface plan, recommended and maximum SVI counts are different limits. The configuration supports 1000 SVIs depending on route and multicast entries, with 128 recommended. Specify the required interface count and validate the resource allocation before the PO.
When a maintenance order adds a member to an existing mixed-speed stack, Catalyst 3750 and Catalyst 3750-E switches can share the same stack. The master distributes its software revision and configuration to new members. Record the existing member models and software revision, then confirm the addition matches the installed stack before ordering.
When several existing access configurations are being consolidated, VLAN identifiers and active VLAN counts are different limits. A switch or stack supports 1005 VLANs while allowing 4000 VLAN IDs. Inventory the active VLANs across the configuration, distinguish them from identifier values, and specify the required VLAN allocation before the PO.
PoE power for attached endpoints
WS-C3750-48TS-E supplies data only and cannot power attached endpoints. Current C9300L-48P-4G-A provides a 48-port powered-access migration option; account for its different configuration and licensing.
Gigabit speed on copper access ports
WS-C3750-48TS-E limits fixed copper access links to 10/100 Mbps. Current C9300L-48T-4G-A supplies 48 Gigabit access ports while retaining four 1G uplinks.
Ongoing Cisco hardware service eligibility
Cisco service for WS-C3750-48TS-E ended July 31, 2015. Current C9300L-48T-4G-A is the final migration target; the discontinued intermediate replacements do not restore current support eligibility.

WS-C3750-48TS-E identifies a Catalyst 3750 switch: WS-C3750 selects the family, 48 denotes the copper access-port count, TS identifies the 10/100 Ethernet configuration with four Gigabit SFP uplinks, and E selects IP Services. The access ports are non-PoE; the uplinks do not change their speed.
WS-C3750-48TS-E is managed through the Cisco IOS CLI using the console, Telnet or SSH with a cryptographic image, plus web-based Cisco Network Assistant and Cisco CMS Software. CiscoWorks and SNMPv1, SNMPv2c and SNMPv3 provide networkwide management; cryptographic SNMPv3 also requires the cryptographic image.
WS-C3750-48TS-E is discontinued: end of sale was July 5, 2010, and Cisco support ended July 31, 2015. The hardware is no longer eligible for Cisco service. Any reseller condition describes the physical unit being supplied, not a restart of Cisco's lifecycle or an extension of its support milestones.
ORM offers WS-C3750-48TS-E new sealed with up to a 3-year extended warranty or certified refurbished with up to a 1-year warranty, plus 30-day returns in either condition; terms apply. Cisco's original limited lifetime warranty and service ended July 31, 2015. Refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested, with firmware verified and configuration wiped.
WS-C3750-48TS-E includes the IP Services software feature set, covering advanced unicast, IPv6 and multicast routing. The Catalyst 3750 family also offers IP Base models; CD-3750-EMI= upgrades standard Catalyst 3750-48TS and Catalyst 3750-24TS configurations to IP Services. Specify the installed image and software entitlement on a refurbished purchase order.
WS-C3750-48TS-E has four fixed 1G SFP uplinks, not 10G SFP+ ports or a removable network-card bay. GLC-SX-MM= provides SX connectivity, while GLC-LH-SM= provides LH connectivity. Match the transceiver PID to the installed fiber and connector requirements, and specify the required quantities separately on the PO.
Nine switches form a single Catalyst 3750 StackWise stack with a 32 Gbps interconnect. The stacking ports are built in and do not consume access or uplink ports. CAB-STACK-50CM=, CAB-STACK-1M= and CAB-STACK-3M= provide 0.5 m, 1 m and 3 m cable choices; specify lengths for the rack layout.
Yes, the Catalyst 3750 with IP Services runs OSPF and BGPv4, alongside EIGRP and IS-ISv4. Policy-based routing and PIM-SM/PIM-DM multicast routing are also included. The hardware supports a configurable total of 11000 unicast routes; select the memory allocation for the intended routing and VLAN configuration.
WS-C3750-48TS-E uses an internal autoranging 100-240V AC supply or external DC through its redundant-power connector. Compatible external systems are PWR-RPS2300 and PWR675-AC-RPS-N1=. The chassis does not provide internal dual-supply redundancy. Measured switch draw is 66W at full throughput; size electrical capacity separately from measured operating draw.
WS-C3750-48PS-E supplies PoE on its 48 access ports, while WS-C3750-48TS-E provides data only. Both models are discontinued. The PoE model shares a 370W budget rather than supplying 15.4W on every port simultaneously. The PS configuration suits powered-endpoint matching; the TS configuration suits externally powered equipment.
WS-C3750-48TS-E ships with IP Services, while discontinued WS-C3750-48TS-S ships with IP Base. IP Services adds full OSPF, EIGRP, BGPv4, IPv6 and multicast routing beyond IP Base's static routing, RIP and EIGRP Stub. Select the E model for advanced routing requirements; the S model suits IP Base image matching.
C9300L-48T-4G-A is the current migration target, while WS-C3750-48TS-E has no remaining Cisco service following July 31, 2015. The intermediate replacements, WS-C3750V2-48TS-E and WS-C3650-48TS-E, are discontinued rather than current alternatives. Specify the legacy model for like-for-like sparing; specify the current migration target when ongoing Cisco service eligibility is required.
