256 Gbps switching capacity supports the access and uplink forwarding paths. 190.48 Mpps forwarding rate defines the standalone packet-processing ceiling when sizing packet-intensive traffic. 822W of shared PoE output sets the aggregate allocation limit for powered endpoints. OSPF, EIGRP, BGPv4 and IS-ISv4 support routed access under the included network tier, with OSPFv3 and BGPv6 available for IPv6 routing. C9300-48U-A combines 8 GB of DRAM, 16 GB of flash and Cisco UADP 2.0 forwarding silicon for control-plane operation and image storage. The forwarding hardware holds 32000 MAC entries and 32000 total IPv4 routes, including 24000 direct and 8000 indirect entries. A 16 MB packet buffer accommodates queued traffic during contention. Local console, SSH CLI and embedded WebUI provide device-level management, while Cisco Catalyst Center and Meraki dashboard provide subscription-dependent centralized paths. NETCONF and RESTCONF support configuration through APIs rather than manual CLI entry. Native Multigigabit access is absent.
