When a server refresh increases connection count without changing the intended fabric role, HF6100-32D-S supports 128 x 100GbE connections through 400:100 breakout. Breakout changes the cabling requirements rather than adding physical cages; specify the required breakout connections, compatible pluggables, and host-side terminations before the PO.
When standardizing separate data center locations, HF6100-32D-S can participate in centrally managed fabrics while each fabric retains its own design. Members of an individual fabric must use the same operating-system release and entitlement tier. Native 800G fabric connections
HF6100-32D-S stops at 400G per native port. HF6100-64ED-S provides 64 native 800G OSFP ports, but also changes the chassis requirement to 2U.

HF6100 identifies the hardware family, 32D identifies this port configuration, and the final S selects the static hardware-only configuration with port-exhaust airflow and AC power, rather than a subscription-linked bundle.
HF6100-32D-S is managed through the Nexus Hyperfabric Cloud Controller using a browser interface or RESTful API. An onsite mobile web portal assists deployment and cabling verification.
