N7K-C7010-BUN2-R runs NX-OS, with scriptable CLI, XML interfaces, Cisco Data Center Network Manager web services and SNMPv1, SNMPv2c and SNMPv3 management. The passive midplane interconnects the installed hardware, while crossbar fabric ASICs on the I/O and fabric modules perform intermodule switching. Separate N7K-C7010-FAN-S system fan trays and N7K-C7010-FAN-F fabric fan trays cool their respective compartments, with variable fan speeds responding to ambient conditions. Chassis indicators summarize supervisor, fabric, I/O, power-supply and fan status, allowing an operator to identify which subsystem needs further investigation before removing hardware.
