SG250-26-K9-NA is a fanless Layer 2+ smart switch with 24 Gigabit Ethernet access ports and two fixed Gigabit copper/SFP combo uplinks. Each combo connection uses either copper or fiber, with only one medium active at a time. The 1U rack-mount chassis belongs to the Cisco 250 Series Smart Switches family and serves small-business networks connecting computers, printers, servers and independently powered endpoints. The discontinued SG250-26HP-K9-NA adds a shared 100W PoE+ budget; this non-PoE version supplies data connectivity without endpoint power. Fixed uplinks avoid a separate network-module selection, but their speed remains Gigabit Ethernet. Browser-based configuration provides a graphical management path, while VLAN and traffic-prioritization functions separate workgroups and handle mixed voice, video and data traffic.

52 Gbps switching capacity provides nonblocking forwarding across the available connections, while 38.69 Mpps specifies packet forwarding with 64-byte packets. Static IPv4 routing supports 32 routes for local inter-VLAN communication without a dynamic routing process. SG250-26-K9-NA combines 512 MB of DRAM with 256 MB of flash, separating working memory from software storage. A dynamically shared 12 Mb packet buffer serves traffic across the switch rather than allocating that capacity to each port. STP, RSTP and MSTP support loop prevention, and LACP aggregates links within four groups. Eight hardware queues support traffic scheduling, with strict priority and Weighted Round-Robin available for queue service. Access control supports 512 rules for filtering or rate limiting selected traffic. The 250 Series also supports IPv4 and IPv6 operation, IGMP snooping and an IGMP querier for multicast environments. SNMP monitoring, port mirroring and cable diagnostics provide operational checks without adding a separate hardware management module.
ORM Systems offers SG250-26-K9-NA new sealed or certified refurbished; refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested, with every port linked at rated speed, optics bay recognition checked, firmware verified and configuration wiped to factory default. Specify the condition, quantity and required accessories on the purchase order, with up to a 3-year extended warranty for new units, up to 1 year for certified refurbished units, and 30-day returns on every condition, subject to terms. Cisco's limited lifetime hardware warranty, including 1-year power-supply coverage, ends no later than October 31, 2026. Enterprise and volume orders support PO acceptance, Net-30 for government, RMA with advance replacement, and regional stock/RMA across the UK, EU, US and MEA.

When departmental VLANs need local interconnection, the switch supports up to 16 IP interfaces across physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLAN interfaces or loopback interfaces. Map the interfaces required by the site and retain an external router for functions beyond static routing; verify that interface plan before ordering.
When multiple small offices need common port policies, text-editable configuration files can be downloaded to another switch, while Auto Smartports assigns roles using Cisco Discovery Protocol or LLDP-MED. Identify site-specific addresses and endpoint roles before copying configurations, then specify configuration handling and rollout quantities on the purchase order.
When replacement units must be staged before shipment, the front USB Type-A connection supports image and configuration transfer, while dual software images provide separate image storage. Define the approved firmware and saved configuration before staging, then specify the required image and configuration handoff on the purchase order.
10G uplinks to distribution
Fixed uplinks stop at 1G. C1200-24T-4X retains 24 Gigabit access ports and provides four 10G SFP+ uplinks for a higher-speed distribution connection.
PoE power for connected endpoints
Ethernet ports supply data only, so phones and access points need separate power. C1200-24P-4G provides 24 Gigabit PoE ports with four 1G SFP uplinks.
Cisco service beyond October 2026
Cisco service ends October 31, 2026. C1200-24T-4G is the current successor beyond discontinued CBS250-24T-4G-NA and changes the uplinks to four 1G SFP ports.

SG250-26-K9-NA identifies the regional Cisco 250 Series Gigabit Smart Switch with 26 logical network ports. SG250 identifies the Gigabit model family, while 26 covers 24 access ports and two copper/SFP combo connections. NA is the regional suffix used for the United States, Canada, Mexico and specified Latin American markets.
SG250-26-K9-NA supports HTTP/HTTPS web management, full or menu-based CLI access over SSH or Telnet, SNMP, Smart Network Application, FindIT Network Manager with embedded Probe, and FindIT Network Discovery Utility. Cisco Active Advisor adds monitoring, while Network Plug and Play with PnP Connect supplies another provisioning path for device rollouts.
Yes, SG250-26-K9-NA reached end of sale on October 30, 2021, and reaches its last date of support on October 31, 2026. Software maintenance ended October 30, 2022. The immediate replacement, CBS250-24T-4G-NA, is also discontinued; C1200-24T-4G is the current model at the end of that replacement chain.
ORM Systems offers SG250-26-K9-NA new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty on new units and up to 1 year on refurbished units. Returns are 30 days for every condition; terms apply. Cisco's limited lifetime hardware warranty, with 1-year power-supply coverage, cannot extend beyond October 31, 2026.
SG250-26-K9-NA replaces SLM2024T-NA, the Cisco SG200-26 26-port Gigabit Smart Switch. SLM2024T-NA reached end of sale on May 10, 2018, and its Cisco support ended May 31, 2023. The replacement itself is now discontinued, so retaining this hardware differs from moving to the current successor.
SG250-26-K9-NA uses an internal universal AC supply accepting 100-240V at 50-60 Hz, rather than an external adapter or PoE input. Maximum consumption is 18.9W, providing a switch-only figure for electrical planning. The single internal supply does not provide a second redundant power-supply configuration.
The Cisco 250 Series Gigabit switch uses two fixed 1G SFP connections shared with its copper combo ports. MGBSX1 supports multimode fiber to 500 m, and MGBLX1 supports single-mode fiber to 10 km. Each combo connection activates only one medium, so copper and fiber cannot operate simultaneously on that connection.
Yes, SG250-26-K9-NA supports static IPv4 routing between VLANs, with 32 static routes and 16 IP interfaces. Interfaces can be associated with physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLANs or loopbacks. This static-routing feature set places the switch in the Layer 2+ category rather than a dynamic-routing configuration.
The Cisco 250 Series 26-port switch occupies 1U and measures 440 mm wide, 44 mm high and 202 mm deep. Weight is 2.72 kg, and the original package includes a mounting kit. The fanless chassis operates from 0°C to 50°C, so cabinet temperature remains part of installation planning.
SG250-26HP-K9-NA supplies PoE+ through 24 access ports with a shared 100W budget, while SG250-26-K9-NA supplies no endpoint power. Both models are discontinued. The non-PoE configuration suits independently powered endpoints; the HP configuration addresses powered-endpoint requirements in an existing installation, subject to its shared power budget.
SG250-50-K9-NA has 48 Gigabit access ports, compared with 24 on SG250-26-K9-NA; both add two Gigabit copper/SFP combo connections. Both models are discontinued. The smaller configuration fits lower endpoint counts, while the larger configuration accommodates more copper connections when matching an existing legacy installation.
C1200-24T-4G provides four 1G SFP uplinks, whereas SG250-26-K9-NA provides two 1G copper/SFP combo uplinks. Both have 24 Gigabit access ports. C1200-24T-4G is the current successor beyond discontinued CBS250-24T-4G-NA, making it the migration option; the older model serves buyers matching an existing hardware configuration.
