SG250-26P-K9 combines 24 Gigabit PoE+ access ports with two fixed Gigabit copper/SFP combo uplinks in a 1U rack-mount chassis. This Layer 2+ smart-managed switch belongs to the Cisco 250 Series Smart Switches and connects business workstations, IP phones, wireless access points and surveillance cameras. Each combo uplink uses either its copper connection or its fiber connection, not both simultaneously. The SG250-26P integrates endpoint power with local switching without an uplink expansion card. Compared with the discontinued SG250-26HP-K9-NA, it provides a higher shared power allocation for powered devices. Automatic voice VLAN assignment separates telephone traffic and applies voice-specific QoS settings.

52 Gbps switching capacity supports nonblocking forwarding across the available connections, while 38.69 Mpps is rated for 64-byte packets. 195W of shared PoE power covers combined endpoint demand; individual powered ports support 30W, so every powered port cannot draw its maximum simultaneously. Static IPv4 routing accommodates 32 routes without dynamic routing protocols. SG250-26P-K9 carries 512 MB of memory and 256 MB of flash, with a dynamically shared 12 Mb packet buffer. STP, RSTP, MSTP and LACP handle loop control and aggregated links. Browser management, a scriptable CLI and SNMP provide configuration and monitoring paths, while 8000 MAC addresses and 255 active VLANs define local scale. Eight hardware queues separate traffic priorities, and IGMP snooping restricts multicast delivery to requesting receivers. 262W maximum consumption includes PoE load and informs UPS sizing. Hardware stacking is not available.
SG250-26P-K9 is available new sealed or certified refurbished, with ORM's up to 3-year extended warranty for new units, up to 1-year warranty for certified refurbished units, and 30-day returns on every condition; terms apply. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on, POST, clean boot, every port linking at rated speed, PoE output under load on every powered port, optics bay recognition, PSU status and fan status; firmware is verified and configurations are wiped to factory default. Specify condition, regional power cord, mounting kit and selected MGBSX1 or MGBLX1 transceivers on the PO; Cisco's limited lifetime hardware warranty ends October 31, 2026, with 1-year fan and power-supply coverage. Enterprise and volume purchasing supports POs, government Net-30, RMA with advance replacement, and UK, EU, US and MEA stock and RMA.

When an existing office needs traffic exchanged between local IP segments, the switch supports 16 IP interfaces. Interfaces can be assigned to physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLANs or loopbacks. Map the required interfaces and gateway addresses before specifying the configuration on the PO.
When multiple sites need consistent configurations, text-editable configuration files and protected SCP downloads provide a repeatable staging method. CLI privilege levels 1, 7 and 15 separate operator access. Prepare the management addresses, access permissions and site-specific configuration files before ordering the branch quantities.
When a lab or staging bench must reproduce a traffic problem before deployment, port mirroring can combine four source ports onto one destination port. VLAN mirroring also supports four source VLANs. Identify the capture interface, analyzer connection and required mirrored traffic before placing the staging order.
10G links to distribution
The fixed uplinks stop at 1G and cannot accept 10G optics. C1200-24P-4X retains 24 Gigabit powered access ports and provides four 10G SFP+ uplinks.
Silent operation without fans
Two cooling fans run in the chassis, with acoustic output reaching 53.7 dB at 50°C. Silent, fanless operation is outside this model's capabilities.
Cisco support beyond October 2026
Cisco service ends October 31, 2026. C1200-24P-4G is the current migration endpoint and replaces the two combo uplinks with four dedicated 1G SFP uplinks.

SG250-26P-K9 identifies a Gigabit 250-family smart switch: SG250 names the family, 26 represents 24 access ports plus two combo uplinks, and P identifies powered PoE+ access. K9 remains part of the base order identifier. SG250-26P-K9-NA is the regional ordering form for the United States.
SG250-26P-K9 supports an HTTP/HTTPS web interface, CLI access over SSH or Telnet, SNMP versions 1, 2c and 3, Smart Network Application, and FindIT Network Manager with an embedded FindIT Network Probe. Cisco Active Advisor is another supported integration. The CLI includes scriptable full-command and menu-based modes.
SG250-26P-K9 is discontinued: end of sale was October 30, 2021, and the last date of Cisco support is October 31, 2026. CBS250-24P-4G-NA was the original replacement but is also discontinued. The current migration chain ends at C1200-24P-4G rather than the earlier CBS250 model.
ORM Systems offers SG250-26P-K9 new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty for new units and up to 1 year for certified refurbished units. Both conditions have 30-day returns, terms apply. Cisco's limited lifetime hardware warranty ends October 31, 2026; fans and power supplies have 1-year coverage.
SG250-26P-K9 provides a shared 195W PoE budget across 24 powered access ports, with a maximum of 30W on an individual port. The combined endpoint allocation must stay within the switch budget. All powered ports therefore cannot deliver their individual maximum simultaneously; size the connected-device load before ordering.
The Cisco SG250-26P supports two 1G fiber connections through its copper/SFP combo uplinks, with one medium active per combo port. MGBSX1 provides a multimode option to 500 m, while MGBLX1 provides single-mode connectivity to 10 km. Select the transceiver for the existing fiber type and distance.
Yes, SG250-26P-K9 supports static IPv4 routing with 32 routes and 16 IP interfaces, including VLAN interfaces. Routing interfaces can also be assigned to physical ports, link aggregation groups or loopbacks. This is static routed access rather than a dynamic routing deployment; plan the interfaces and next hops explicitly.
SG250-26P-K9 provides a 195W PoE budget, whereas SG250-26HP-K9-NA provides 100W; both have 24 Gigabit PoE+ access ports and two Gigabit combo uplinks. Both models are discontinued. For retained installations, the former accommodates a higher combined powered-device load, while the latter suits a lower allocated endpoint load.
SG250-26P-K9 uses an internal AC supply, while discontinued SG250-10P-K9-NA accepts an external adapter or PoE input through its combo uplinks. The smaller model has eight access ports rather than 24. The former fits retained rack installations; the latter fits smaller retained installations that require upstream power.
C1200-24P-4G provides four dedicated 1G SFP uplinks, whereas SG250-26P-K9 has two shared copper/SFP combo uplinks. Both provide 24 Gigabit powered access ports. The discontinued SG250 model serves like-for-like sparing requirements; C1200-24P-4G is the current migration endpoint for purchases requiring more dedicated fiber connections.
The Cisco SG250-26P requires 1U in a standard rack and measures 440 mm wide, 44 mm high and 257 mm deep. Its weight is 3.81 kg. Allow for the attached power cord and network cabling when checking cabinet depth, and include the mounting kit in the order requirements.
No, SG250-26P-K9 uses a single internal AC power supply rather than redundant supply modules. Its universal input accepts 100-240V AC. A second internal supply cannot be added for redundancy, so a requirement for independently replaceable redundant power paths needs different hardware rather than an additional PSU on this order.
