SG350-28-K9-NA is a fanless, managed Gigabit access switch with 24 copper access ports and four fixed uplink positions: two dedicated SFP ports and two copper/SFP combo ports. The Rack-Mount 1U chassis belongs to the Cisco 350 Series and provides Layer 2+ connectivity for small-business networks. This non-PoE configuration connects independently powered endpoints; it does not deliver power to phones, cameras or access points. Each combo uplink selects copper or fiber, not both media simultaneously. The discontinued SG350-28P-K9-NA is the closest powered sibling, adding PoE+ on the access ports. The 28-port Gigabit Managed Switch has no removable uplink module bay, so uplink speed remains Gigabit rather than expanding through an optional network card.

56 Gbps switching capacity provides nonblocking forwarding across the active port configuration. 41.66 Mpps forwarding at 64-byte packet size establishes the packet-rate ceiling for traffic sizing. Static IPv4 routing supports 990 routes, while PBR directs selected traffic to alternate next hops; IPv6 routing is also available. SG350-28-K9-NA carries 512 MB of memory and 256 MB of flash for control software and stored images. A dynamically shared 1.5 MB packet buffer handles traffic across all ports rather than reserving that amount per port. STP, RSTP and MSTP protect Layer 2 topologies, and LACP combines physical links into logical connections. Browser administration, CLI access and SNMP monitoring support configuration and monitoring workflows. Maximum power consumption of 19.9W at 220V belongs in cabinet power planning independently of endpoint power requirements.
ORM Systems offers SG350-28-K9-NA new sealed or certified refurbished; new units include up to a 3-year extended ORM warranty, refurbished units up to 1 year, and both conditions have 30-day returns, terms apply. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, clean boot, rated-speed port links, optics bay recognition and PSU status; firmware is verified and configurations are wiped to factory default. Specify this switch's condition, quantity and required accessories on the PO. For enterprise and volume orders, ORM Systems accepts POs, offers Net-30 for government and provides RMA with advance replacement, with regional stock and RMA operations in the UK, EU, US and MEA.

When a small-business network is adding routed VLAN interfaces, the 128-IP-interface ceiling determines how many interfaces can be configured. Count the required VLAN, physical-port, LAG and loopback interfaces together rather than checking VLAN interfaces alone, then verify the complete interface plan before putting the switch on the purchase order.
When several sites need the same administrative model, CLI privilege levels 1, 7 and 15 provide distinct access levels to plan before staging. Define the required operator roles and configuration workflow across locations, then specify the access policy and staging requirements alongside the hardware quantities on the purchase order.
When switches are purchased for configuration staging before shipment, dual firmware images support upgrade preparation, while the front-panel USB Type-A slot handles files and images. Establish the image and configuration handoff requirements for the staging process, then specify the required bench checks before releasing the purchase order.
Switch-powered phones and access points
SG350-28-K9-NA does not supply PoE to endpoints. C1300-24P-4G is a current alternative with 24 Gigabit PoE access ports and four 1G SFP uplinks.
10G uplinks to distribution
SG350-28-K9-NA limits uplinks to 1G and has no 10G uplink card option. C1300-24T-4X provides 24 Gigabit access ports and four 10G SFP+ uplinks.
Dynamic route learning and convergence
SG350-28-K9-NA supports static routing rather than dynamic route exchange. Specify a separate routing device when the network requires automatic route learning instead of configured next-hop entries.

SG350-28-K9-NA identifies the Gigabit 350 Series model with 28 logical ports and the NA regional ordering version. SG350 names the managed Gigabit family; 28 covers 24 access ports plus four uplink positions. K9 remains part of the complete orderable identifier, while NA includes the United States, Canada and other designated American markets.
SG350-28-K9-NA supports an HTTP/HTTPS web interface, full or menu-based CLI through the RJ-45 console or SSH, and SNMP versions 1, 2c and 3. Network-level management includes Smart Network Application, Cisco FindIT Network Manager with an embedded FindIT Network Probe, and Cisco Active Advisor. Choose the administrative and monitoring paths before staging.
SG350-28-K9-NA reached end of sale on October 30, 2021, and its last date of support is October 31, 2026. Software maintenance ended October 30, 2022. The direct replacement, CBS350-24T-4G-NA, is also discontinued; the current successor is C1300-24T-4G. A new sealed order does not restart Cisco's lifecycle dates.
SG350-28-K9-NA is offered new sealed with up to a 3-year extended ORM warranty or certified refurbished with up to 1 year. Both conditions include 30-day returns; terms apply. Cisco's Limited Lifetime warranty is bounded by its October 31, 2026 support end date. Refurbished units are inspected, bench-tested, firmware verified and wiped to factory default.
SG350-28-K9-NA replaced SRW2024-K9-NA, the SG300-28 28-port Gigabit Managed Switch. SRW2024-K9-NA reached end of sale on May 10, 2018, and support ended May 31, 2023. For an existing SG300-28 replacement request, verify the target port assignments, uplink media and configuration requirements before approving the hardware order.
SG350-28P-K9-NA provides 24 PoE+ access ports with a shared 195W budget, whereas SG350-28-K9-NA supplies no endpoint power. Both models are discontinued. The powered configuration addresses endpoints requiring switch power; the non-PoE configuration addresses independently powered endpoints. Match the required endpoint power arrangement before selecting a legacy spare.
SG350-52-K9-NA has 48 Gigabit copper access ports, compared with 24 on SG350-28-K9-NA. Both models are discontinued, so this is a legacy inventory comparison rather than a current-product recommendation. The higher-density model fits larger copper port requirements; the smaller model fits replacements where the existing access-port count remains sufficient.
C1300-24T-4G has four dedicated 1G SFP uplinks, while SG350-28-K9-NA has two dedicated SFP uplinks plus two copper/SFP combo uplinks. C1300-24T-4G is the current successor through the discontinued CBS350-24T-4G-NA. Choose the current model for migration; retain the older model only when the purchase explicitly requires a matching legacy replacement.
The 28-port Gigabit Managed Switch accepts MGBSX1 for multimode fiber up to 500 m and MGBLX1 for single-mode fiber up to 10 km. These 1G transceivers fit its SFP cages. Select the optic to match the fiber type, link distance and far-end equipment, and include optics separately on the purchase order.
SG350-28-K9-NA supports static IPv4 routing with 990 static routes, 128 IP interfaces and Policy-Based Routing (PBR). IPv6 routing is also supported. Keep the route plan within those limits and verify the intended interfaces before deployment. Select a different routing device when the design requires dynamic routing rather than static next-hop entries.
