SG95-24 is a fanless, unmanaged Layer 2 desktop switch with 22 dedicated Gigabit copper ports and two fixed Gigabit copper/SFP combo connections. Each combo connection uses copper or fiber, so the unit supports 24 active links rather than 26. This non-PoE member of the Cisco 95 Series connects separately powered computers, printers, copiers and other small-office equipment. Its role is basic office connectivity rather than configurable access switching, with automatic link setup accommodating mixed-speed equipment without an administrator setup session. The discontinued SG95-16 carries 16 Gigabit copper ports for a smaller connection requirement. A Kensington lock slot provides a physical securing point for equipment outside a locked cabinet, while mounting hardware supports installation beyond a desktop location.

48 Gbps switching capacity accommodates aggregate traffic through the switching fabric, while 35.7 Mpps forwarding with 64-byte packets defines small-packet handling performance. Store-and-forward operation checks received frames and prevents damaged packets from passing onward. Hardware queues apply 802.1p priority with priority queuing and Weighted Round-Robin scheduling, giving delay-sensitive voice or video traffic preferential handling without administrator configuration. Loop detection helps identify accidental network loops, and cable diagnostics assist with cable faults or shorts. SG95-24 uses an internal universal AC supply connected directly to mains power rather than an external adapter. Automatic MDI/MDI-X accommodates straight-through or crossover copper connections. Energy Efficient Ethernet places quiet links into a lower-power state when traffic is absent. The Cisco 95 Series Unmanaged Switches operate automatically rather than providing configurable routed access. System power and link/activity indicators provide local status checks, while head-of-line blocking prevention handles blocking within the switching process.
ORM Systems offers SG95-24 new sealed or certified refurbished; refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, clean boot, every port linking at rated speed, optics bay recognition and internal PSU status. Specify condition, mounting hardware requirements and quantities on the purchase order. ORM warranties are up to a 3-year extended warranty on new units and up to 1 year on certified refurbished units, with 30-day returns on every condition, terms apply; Cisco's separate limited lifetime hardware warranty ends no later than October 31, 2026. Enterprise and volume orders have PO acceptance, Net-30 for government and RMA with advance replacement, with regional stock/RMA across UK, EU, US and MEA.

A small-office rollout that reuses installed copper cabling needs a cable check before hardware is standardized. SG95-24 requires Category 5e or better cabling for Gigabit connections. Include patch leads in the installation scope and verify existing cable runs before releasing the purchase order.
A multi-country hardware order needs complete regional identifiers rather than the base part number alone. SG95-24-AS covers Thailand and Vietnam, while SG95-24-SG covers Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia. Build country-specific order lines and confirm the destination power-cord arrangement before approving the purchase order.
A lab staging order involving large Ethernet frames needs endpoint compatibility checked before the hardware is committed to a test plan. SG95-24 supports jumbo frames of 9216 bytes. Include the intended frame size in acceptance testing and verify the connected equipment supports that size before ordering.
10G fiber uplinks to distribution
SG95-24 fiber connections are limited to 1G through shared combo SFP slots; 10G uplinks require different hardware rather than a transceiver substitution.
PoE power for connected endpoints
SG95-24 does not supply PoE to attached devices. Endpoints needing Ethernet-delivered power require a separate power source or a different switching model.
Cisco support beyond October 2026
SG95-24 reaches its last date of support on October 31, 2026. CBS110-24T-EU is the current regional successor for SG95-24-AS and SG95-24-KR.

SG95-24 identifies a Gigabit switch in the Cisco 95 Series: SG95 is the Gigabit model designation and 24 denotes the connection count. Regional suffixes complete the ordering identifier. SG95-24-AS covers Thailand and Vietnam, while SG95-24-SG covers Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
The Cisco 95 Series operates without configuration, and SG95-24 automatically handles link negotiation and its built-in traffic-handling functions. Connect mains power and compatible network equipment to begin operation. The purchase is for an unmanaged switch, not a configurable device requiring an administrator to establish its operating settings.
No, SG95-24 does not provide PoE to connected devices; endpoint power must come from another source. Its Ethernet connections carry network traffic for separately powered equipment. Endpoint power arrangements belong in the purchase plan rather than treating the Gigabit ports as powered outputs.
SG95-24 provides two 1G SFP combo slots that share their connections with two copper ports. A combo connection uses copper or fiber, not both simultaneously. The SFP slots therefore do not increase the total beyond 24 active network connections or provide 10G uplinks.
Yes, SG95-24 supports rack mounting with mounting hardware, but its narrow enclosure is a desktop form factor rather than a full-width rack chassis. The unit measures 279 mm wide, 170 mm deep and 44 mm high. Mounting hardware requirements should be included in the order.
SG95-24 is discontinued: end of sale was October 30, 2021, and its last date of support is October 31, 2026. These dates apply to the regional SG95-24 models. A support-dependent installation needs its migration scheduled before that final support date.
ORM Systems offers SG95-24 new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty for new units and up to 1 year for certified refurbished units. Returns are 30 days for every condition, terms apply. Cisco's separate limited lifetime hardware warranty is bounded by the October 31, 2026 last date of support.
SG95-24 provides 24 Gigabit connections, whereas SG95-16 provides 16 Gigabit connections. Both are discontinued models. For an installed network, SG95-24 matches a larger connection requirement; SG95-16 matches a smaller one. Neither port-count choice removes the need to plan around discontinued hardware.
SG95-24 supports 10/100/1000 Mbps copper links, whereas SF95-24 supports 10/100 Mbps copper links. Both models are discontinued. SG95-24 matches existing Gigabit-connected equipment; SF95-24 matches an existing Fast Ethernet installation where retaining that lower link-speed ceiling is intentional rather than an assumed Gigabit upgrade.
SG95-24 is discontinued, while CBS110-24T-EU is a current replacement for SG95-24-AS and SG95-24-KR. The purchasing distinction is lifecycle rather than a move away from unmanaged Gigabit connectivity. SG95-24 addresses replacement within an existing estate; CBS110-24T-EU addresses migration to current hardware with the appropriate regional ordering choice.
SG95-24 uses an internal universal AC power supply accepting 110-240V AC at 50-60 Hz, so an external desktop power adapter is unnecessary. The unit connects to mains with a power cord. Regional order variants matter when specifying the cord arrangement for the installation destination.
SG95-24 has 48 Gbps switching capacity and forwards 35.7 Mpps when handling 64-byte packets. These are different measures of traffic-handling capability, not interchangeable speed ratings. Store-and-forward switching checks incoming frames before passing traffic onward and prevents damaged packets from propagating to connected devices.
