SRW2024-K9-NA is a fanless, managed Gigabit Ethernet switch with 24 access ports and fixed Gigabit uplinks for small-business networks. Two dedicated copper uplinks sit alongside two copper/SFP combo uplinks; each combo connection uses either its RJ-45 connector or its SFP slot. The rack-mount chassis connects desktops, printers and other separately powered endpoints without supplying endpoint power. The Cisco Small Business 300 Series includes this non-PoE configuration alongside powered variants. The discontinued SRW2024P-K9 adds PoE on 24 ports, distinguishing endpoint power requirements rather than copper link speed. The SG300-28 combines copper connectivity with a limited number of fiber connections, rather than providing dedicated fiber connectivity across every uplink.

56 Gbps switching capacity and 41.67 Mpps forwarding performance establish the switching and packet-rate ceilings for traffic sizing. 512 static IPv4 routes and 128 IP interfaces bound inter-VLAN routing; dynamic route learning is not available. STP/RSTP/MSTP control Layer 2 loops, while LACP combines compatible Ethernet links. The platform supports 4096 VLANs, 16384 MAC addresses and 9216-byte jumbo frames for segmentation and larger Ethernet payloads. SRW2024-K9-NA has 128 MB of DRAM and 16 MB of flash for its operating software and configuration. HTTP/HTTPS administration and SSH/Telnet access provide browser and CLI management, while SNMP connects monitoring systems. 20.6W worst-case consumption at 220V belongs in upstream backup-power sizing. A fixed internal supply accepts 100-240V AC, and operation requires an ambient temperature between 0°C and 40°C; there is no second internal supply bay for adding power redundancy.
Order SRW2024-K9-NA new sealed or certified refurbished, specifying condition and quantity on the purchase order. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, clean boot, every port linking at rated speed, optics bay recognition and internal PSU status. ORM Systems provides up to a 3-year extended warranty for new units or up to 1 year for certified refurbished units, with 30-day returns on every condition, terms apply; Cisco's original limited lifetime coverage ended May 31, 2023. POs are accepted, government buyers can use Net-30, and enterprise or volume orders have RMA with advance replacement through regional stock and RMA operations in the UK, EU, US and MEA.

When an existing network needs packet-capture validation before a replacement is installed, port mirroring can copy eight source ports to one analyzer connection in a single session. Reserve the analyzer connection and identify the capture sources before the purchase order so the staging plan includes the required observation point.
When several locations need a common configuration baseline, text-editable configuration files and secure SCP downloads support preparation before installation. Site-specific addressing and access settings still need to be assigned individually. Specify the configuration-file handling and the settings that differ between locations before placing the purchase order.
Endpoints requiring switch-supplied power
SRW2024-K9-NA supplies data connections without PoE. Phones, cameras and access points that depend on Ethernet power require separate power equipment or a PoE-capable switch.
10G links to distribution
Fixed uplinks stop at 1G. C1300-24T-4X provides 24 Gigabit access ports and four 10G SFP+ uplinks for deployments requiring faster distribution connections.
Active Cisco hardware support
Cisco service ended May 31, 2023. C1300-24T-4G is the current migration endpoint; the intervening SG350-28-K9-NA and CBS350-24T-4G-NA models are discontinued.

SRW2024-K9-NA identifies the Cisco SG300-28 non-PoE Gigabit managed switch. SRW2024-K9 is its hardware ordering base, while SG300-28 is the model name. The configuration provides 26 dedicated copper connections and two shared copper/SFP connections, not 28 independent copper connections plus two additional fiber ports.
SRW2024-K9-NA supports HTTP/HTTPS browser management, full or menu-based CLI through console or SSH/Telnet, and SNMP versions 1, 2c and 3. Local browser pages include a system dashboard, maintenance and monitoring functions. Specify the permitted access methods, administrator credentials and monitoring configuration before connecting the switch to its management network.
SRW2024-K9-NA reached end of sale on May 10, 2018, and Cisco support ended May 31, 2023. The immediate replacement, SG350-28-K9-NA, is also discontinued. Its replacement, CBS350-24T-4G-NA, is discontinued too; the forward migration chain now ends at C1300-24T-4G rather than either of those intermediate models.
ORM Systems offers SRW2024-K9-NA new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty for new units or up to 1 year for certified refurbished units. Returns cover 30 days on every condition; terms apply. Cisco's original limited lifetime warranty ended with Cisco support on May 31, 2023.
No, SRW2024-K9-NA is a non-PoE switch and cannot supply endpoint power through Ethernet. A phone, camera or access point can use a data connection but needs a separate power source. Specify endpoint power independently because this configuration has no powered access ports or shared PoE allowance.
SG300-28 accepts MGBSX1 Gigabit multimode and MGBLX1 Gigabit single-mode SFP transceivers in its two combo slots. Each slot shares one logical connection with an RJ-45 connector, so copper and fiber cannot operate simultaneously within that pair. Match the selected optic to the installed fiber and remote transceiver.
Yes, SRW2024-K9-NA supports static IPv4 routing between VLANs, with 512 static routes and 128 IP interfaces. Routes require explicit configuration rather than dynamic route learning. Confirm the installed firmware, intended interface configuration and planned route count before assigning the switch gateway duties for multiple IP subnets.
SRW2024-K9-NA uses a fixed internal AC supply accepting 100-240V AC and does not have a second internal supply bay. Maximum system consumption is 20.6W at 220V. Internal power redundancy cannot be added with another supply, so upstream backup-power arrangements must cover the chassis as a single-supply device.
SRW2024P-K9 supplies PoE on 24 ports with a shared 180W budget, while SRW2024-K9-NA supplies data only. Both configurations are discontinued. The non-PoE model fits legacy installations with separately powered endpoints; the powered model fits legacy installations requiring switch-supplied power, subject to its shared endpoint-power budget.
SRW2048-K9 provides 48 regular Gigabit access ports, while SRW2024-K9-NA provides 24; each also has four special-purpose uplink or combo connections. Both models are discontinued. The smaller model fits a lower-density legacy replacement requirement, while SRW2048-K9 fits an existing installation needing more endpoint connections in one chassis.
C1300-24T-4G provides four dedicated 1G SFP uplinks, while SRW2024-K9-NA has two copper uplinks and two copper/SFP combo uplinks. Both provide 24 Gigabit access ports. The older model fits like-for-like legacy hardware maintenance; the current C1300-24T-4G fits migrations requiring four independent fiber uplink connections.
